Bauer Il Palazzo is one of Venices most luxurious hotel. It is an authentic 18th century palazzo with the most spectacular vantage point in Venice - close to St Marks Square, facing the Grand Canal and overlooking St Marks basin. The 72 luxurious rooms including 34 suites, many with balconies or terraces, have been recently restored with the finest fabrics, gilt mirrors, carved stucco ceilings and Murano glass chandeliers. Located on the top floors of the historic palace guests have the option of staying in one of Bauer Il Palazzos re-designed rooms or executive suites. The interior design concept of the guest accommodations on the 6th & 7th floors is quite distinct; each room is decorated in a unique sleek style, with comfort. The rooms have a bright and open atmosphere, some with traditional furnishings; plush button-tufted couches and chairs others with a more contemporary-styled decor and the suites on the uppermost floor have a charming Italian-provincial design with pitched-ceilings and natural finished wooden beams. Innovative cuisine is served in the award-winning gourmet restaurant De Pisis with a terrace set against the spectacular backdrop of the Grand Canal. Breakfast is served at "Settimo Cielo", Bauer Il Palazzos exclusive terrace and lounge with magical views over Venice and the lagoon. Fitness room and Spa area available, outdoor Jacuzzi upon reservation. With Wi-Fi, BAUER guests can now surf the web, access files and email at their leisure in all public areas.

Location is everything
great location, very pricey, but what isn't in Venice. Great spot on the roof top for breakfast - which was an unexpected treat. Large, comfortable rooms. Only downside was a very uncomfortable bed - watch your back!
