Bauer Hotel Venice

We stayed at L'Bauer Hotel which is connected to its sister Il Palazzo. The Bauer faces the church, San Moise; Il Palazzo faces the Grand Canal. We had a superior standard room which was spacious; the bed was king plus; bathroom marble and comfortable; our room was so quiet we overslept in the morning. and needed a wake up call. The closet was spacious. My husband had an episode of illness in the dining area; the staff handled the situation quietly and compentently acting with concern and treating us with great dignity and kindness the whole stay, calling a doctor,loaning us a wheelchair, arranging for special help back to the airport;; many staff members asking how he was doing. Inadvertently, a purse with $15 got mixed in with our laundry and came right back to us when the clean laundry was delivered. Despite this setback of an illness, we still had a wonderful time. This is our 10th trip to Venice; our first stay at The Bauer. Would never think of anywhere else now. We have stayed at the Hotel Gritti, a number of times, but found the Bauer kinder and gentler and just as beautiful. The buffet breakfast served outdoors on the Grand Canal was included in our room rate, a 50 euro value, and was very special. Dinner and lunch at the hotel was equally good. We took the Bauer's guest boat [ included] to the island of Giudecca and had tea in the gardens of its other sister hotel/spa, Il Palladio. Everyone at Il Palladio were also so helpful and friendly. It also gave us the opportunity to access Giudecca and walk and explore that island at our leisure. We are world wide travelers and many time visitors to Venice; the Bauer and its sister hotels would be our recommendation when in Venice.

Our hotel room was to be ready at 14:00 but was not available until 15:15! There seemed to be quite a bit of confusion finding our reservation by the clerk and this had us quite anxious. The b'fast buffet was typical European and okay but not great. Eggs cold and undercooked, coffee weak, but salami and hams delish. Dining or cocktails on patio perfect! Views incredible. Staff friendly and polite. Easy access to water taxi to airport. The bed was very comfortable.

Nice, location cannot be better.Cleaning stuff is not properly trained, though.Need to be told what to do. Some even have an attitude. Overall - good experience.Restaurant has great views.Great and very expensive breakfast. The morning newspaper is hard to get. No gift shop , no any other kind of store inside the hotel. Sometimes you fell like being taken for money but then one remembers about the perfect location - and it helps. Lots of loud [*] tourists though inside the lobby. The hotel is partially owned by russians, they have to manage those unruly crowds somehow.

Very nice and helpful staff. Beautiful room. Wonderful patio bar/restaurant with good food and great views of the Grand Canal.

Service impeccable, chambres confortables et petit-déjeûner somptueux

Avons eu le pivilège de séjourner pendant la période du Carnaval, ce qui est un plus, et avec un temps très clément ( de la chance car ce critère ne peut être programmé à l'avance...!!). L' hôtel exposait dans le hall de très belles tenues et en proposait à l'essayage pour d'éventuelles soirées. Très agréable le petit déjeuner dans une belle pièce vénitienne avec vue sur le grand canal et "la Salute" en face. La chambre confortable permettait de récupérer après de grandes sorties quotidiennes à la découverte des trésors de la Bellissime.Nous avons séjourné 4 jours pleins, 2 de plus est necessaire. A ne pas manquer les îles de la lagune. Souvenir inoubliable.

1ère nuit dans une chambre impossible car étouffante et trop chaude le lendemain surclassement sans difficultés dans une meilleure chambre

alors premier désagrement la reservation de notre chambre n'avait pas été effectuée je ne sais pas qui de l'hotel ou du site n'a pas effetué son travail. une attente stressante finalmnt enfin un chambre dans laquelle toute les 10 minutes dans les murs de la salle de bain quelque chose claque trsè bruyament donc pour dormir bof bof donc surtout eviter la chambre 243 sinon l'hotel est très bien situé et le petit déjeuner et la salle la vue sont excellents

入住当天威尼斯是双年展期间，估计房间比较紧张，前台一个面若冰霜的银发服务员把我们带到了隔壁的Bauer Casa Nova，还号称这是Bauer Plazza的新开的部分。我们严辞拒绝了，然后又折腾回大堂，等了20分钟，总算拿到了钥匙。整个酒店的服务员都是冷冰冰的，很少有人主动和旅客打招呼，早餐也是没人领位，没人服务，一切需要自己动手或动口。总之，体验绝对差。
