It works but not impressive
The front desk attendant was awful to work with. He said only a few words and then told us to leave the desk. The hotel was okay for the price we paid, but it in no way resembled near a four star hotel. It worked as a place to sleep at a reasonable price, but we weren't impressed.

Right next to the hotel is an amazing affordable Chinese restaurant. After eating only Italian food for two months, this really hit the spot!

Good Location outside of Venice
We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel close to the train station and with easy access to the public transportation system. The Siro meet what we were looking for. We walked the one mile or so from the train station to the hotel. The staff spoke English well and were very helpful explaining how to get a bus pass and where to catch the bus to get to Venice and back. This is not a five star hotel and we did not expect it to be but it was reasonably priced and a good base for exploring Venice and the area around.

Great staff
It was a great value for the money in Venice. The desk staff was extreemly friendly and their recommendations (a 24 hour bus and vapporetto pass)for getting to old Venizia saved us money. The room was adequate and clean for the price. Getting to and from the hotel was a bit pricy for a taxi as we had a lot of luggage, but a bus trip would have been a pice of cake with a smaller load. The included breakfast was wonderful.

My review of Sirio
The hotel has been and is being refurbished. They are doing an excellant job of refurbishing. The rooms are on the small side, but are very nice and clean. The biggest negative is that in late March the air conditioning was not turned on and we had to leave the windows open with a busy street beneath. Very easy to get to Venice or the airport by bus at a cost of just over one euro. The bus stops were very close to the airport.
