This is a new hotel, so the facility itself is very nice. The rooms are immaculate. I was pleasantly surpised that the train that transports to venice wasn't too far. It was about a 10 minute walk.
This hotel is above average for european
standards. The service was average. They charged you 3 euros to use the internet for 30 minutes and I sat on the internet for 5-10 minutes with a "frozen" computer. The internet was so slow, it took me half an hour to try to check in to my flight the next day. When I couldn't get the time to stop, I asked for help and got a look like i was bein annoying and they couldn't figure it out and i left because it wasn't worth my time to argue about why they should not have taken 3 euros for this whole experience.
The sheets and towels smell like vinegar. The buffet is very good quality of food. There is a very big mall near the hotel, about a 10-15 min walk.
They did not charge me for a baby cot, although the website said they would charge me a fee.
I would stay there again, the price i paid was a bargain, so i shouldn't complain. The hotel has excellent potential. Its just a little rough around the edges.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Long walk from hotel
10-15 min to a very large mall with everything you need right there.
My wife and I stayed two nights at hotel prior to departure on cruise from Venice. We rode the hotel shuttle both from the airport and to/from Venice. The shuttles were very useful, although they do tend to fill up (reservation required) and
have limited timetable.
Hotel is located in outer suburb with very little around it beyond a shopping mall and movie theater (both within walking distance). Hotel staff was friendly and rooms were clean and adequate.
We would stay at hotel again if spending only a night or two but, if staying in Venice for longer period, would stay downtown Venice.
