Spartan

No carpeting no pictures on the walls. Pretty bland decor, maybe even Spartan. Twenty Euro taxi ride from Venice, 15 to airport. More of a business hotel. Toofar from Venice for sight seeing.

Antony Hotel Venice

We arrived at around 10 in the morning and since the room wasent ready the staff let us store our baggage in the back room. Not exactly secure but at least we didn't have to tote them around until our room was ready. They also have a safe for jewelry.

Staff made it easy to understand how to get to downtown Venice by buss (buss 5 and 19). The buss stop is a 5 minute walk and the buss runs every 15 minutes except on Sundays the schedule is different. Venice is beautiful yet expensive. I recommend hitting up the grocery store (over the first main bridge and about 2 or 3 blocks on the right) for snacks and drinks if you would like to save some euro on say a Heineken (3 euro at the stand, 1.90 at the store :-) Careful taking the last buss of the night because if there is a rush you wont get on and will get stuck getting a cab (23 euros from the main buss stop downtown to the hotel).

good value, great location

Our room was comfortable and kept spotless by hotel staff. The buffet breakfast was good as was the dining room in the evening.Sevice was excellent by all staff members at the hotel. The hotel was close to the airport, train station and Venice.Buying a multiple day transit pass is valid on the the buses to and from Venice,as well as the water buses a.k.a. Vaperetto in Venice.

close to the airport

Hotel was great, not elegant but very adequate with large clean rooms. staff very helpful. dining room for dinner was OK but bar drinks very expensive my not so good 3 oz sangria was E 10!! This hotel is very conveniently located on 2 bus lines which made getting into Venice and back easy and cheaper than a taxi. The hotel sells the bus passes which you need as the busses them selves do not sell the tickets. I would stay there again.

Would stay again

While this hotel is very basic, it is clean and convenient to the airport and Venice via the Actv busses. There is a 4 Euro/person charge for the airport shuttle. Breakfasr was quite good.

Very Good Hotel to stay at.

They had a helpful desk service. They are remodeling so that is why I gave a 4 star for now. But the renovated areas are very nice. They have everything set up with the hotel card and touch pads. The look is very modern and clean. They even have a service to the Airport in the morning which is great.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a geat little restaurant just down the street from the Hotel. It opens late but the food is excellent. It opens at 7:45 p.m. but the wait is worth it. Wish I could remember the name but the restaurant is close to the Marco Polo Hotel down from the Antony Hotel.

Not as good as the first time!

The manager was very helpful in finding a reasonable place to eat for New Years in Venice, IT. I had stayed at this hotel before and was in a room that had been updated but for whatever reason the rooms on the 4th floor are very much in need of updating. The hotel service is great and the breakfast is very good. Overall it is very close to Venice and you can take a five min bus ride there.

Good hotel!

Very nice hotel for the money. If this is the amount of money you want to spend on a hotel than I would rather stay here than in Venice, IT. It is only a 5-10 min bus ride away and buses run every 20 mins or so until like 2am. Ask for a room on the back side of hotel you get to look over the ocean and into Venice.
