Family with elderly
The hotel is not a conventional hotel but a laberintic compendium of rooms and corridorsnot good for elderly persons or with mobility problems. rooms are ok, with many stairs that could be normal in this magnificient old city. I don´t like the way the desk man suggested a close restaurant for eating, because there, we where almost robbered. The cost was excesive, and it was our first meal in Venice so appears like if there, all restaurants where so suspectly expensive. Even in the desserts, the waiter cut and gave me half a piece of tiramisú.

Not worthy!
They put 2 single beds underneath the bed sheet to act as one double bed...the desks and some spots in the room are covered with dust...only one power socket can be found...no chairs placed...the room is not bright enough...the TV is still CRT type...the night shift staff is very helpful and 2 mins walk to San Marco Plaza which are the only 2 good parts in my experience.

Great antiquity everywhere
It was a great location and you could walk to so many interesting places or just walk around the streets and take in the wonderful old buildings. The elevator and air conditioning were a big plus although you could walk the steps easily. The staff spoke English well and were helpful. Breakfast was good. it was really nice to have a place near everything so that if you got tired you had a place to relax and cool off.

It was so much better to stay on the island as it was convenient and was not anymore costly as costs kept adding up if you made the trip from the mainland. The water taxi pass is definitely worth the price and taking the people mover was 1 euro to get to the area to purchase it.

Best location, very clean
The location is great and the hotel is very clean. The only issue with it is that the rooms are small. However, when you are in venice, you do not need the room that much as you will spend most of the time outside.

good value steps from San Marco
Good experience overall, stayed there for 5 days for a conference and needed quick access to the water buses, which were only a five-minute walk (both San Marco and San Zaccaria stops, which are commonly used). Room facing the back, so I didn't hear any crowd noise even though the streets were always full of people (though there were occasional hammering noises until around midnight). Very small room fitting twin bed and luggage, and shower configuration made it difficult not to get the floor drenched after a shower, but if you're here alone, plan to spend most of your time outside, and want privacy and relative quiet with excellent convenience for a decent price, this is the place to stay.

One Night Traveler
A place to sleep w/ no frills or extras
The location is good for the area as the Panada is it just around the corner from the Piazza San Marco, less than a minute walk. Clean enough but definitely showing age. Small rooms typical of that part of Italy. Staff was courteous. If you are looking for a simple place to stay with no extra luxury then this hotel could work for you.

I've booked a double room in this
I've booked a double room in this hotel for 2 nights. However, the hotel was fully booked and it's only able to give me a single room in the first night. But overall, the hotel was quite good with reasonable price and great location - juz beside the St. Marco Plaza.

Location was really good, we were
Location was really good, we were very close to Rialto bridge and practically next to the Doge meusuem. Breakfast was not good at all. There was no variety. We were charged quite a lot for the normal cow milk that we wanted for our kid. No hotel hs charged us for that and the price was very high. Room was nice and clean but small. the receptionist was very nice and helpful and made sure we are comfortable with kids. overall good expeirence.

Some personal there was very very unfriendly! Be careful what you are saying they will shout at you. I was just asking for a correct invoice (the was a third of the amount missing and the name (was not my name) was wrong), then the guy at the receiption was freaking out and shouting at me...embarassing... Location is really good..but the employees..

Charming friendly and superbly located
The hotel is charming and in an excellent location a couple of minutes stroll from Piazza San Marco. Throughout our stay the staff were friendly and helpfull. Our room was of a reasonable size, well decorated, with air conditioning, a large bed and superb bathroom. The room was well cleaned and the towells changed daily. The hotel building is quite old which adds character and interest befitting a holiday in Venice. Getting to our room from reception was unusual as we had to negotiate several corridors take two lifts and climb some steep stairs. This is possibly a result of the hotel occupying two separate buildings. If anything as we are reasonably healthy this was simply regarded as quaint rather than a problem. It is of note that at the outset we were asked if this room was acceptable and indeed it was. Breakfast is typically good continental fare ie. cereal, meat, cheese, fruit, bread etc with tea and excellent coffee. The hotel is ideally placed for those wishing to explore Venice with immediate acces to the water buses on the Grand Canal and the many narrow streets with breathtaking views which take one by surprise as you turn a corner or cross a bridge into a "square". If you are seeking a holiday to enjoy the Venice experience at a reasonable cost then this hotel should be on your list. If however you want a 5* Hilton or such like with full English breakfast then this hotel is not for you, but then perhaps the delights of Venice aren't either
