Pausania Inn is a three - star, family run countryside hotel and restaurant. Immersed in Galluras landscape, 30-40 km from the sandy beaches of northern Sardinia's world- famous Costa Smeralda, Pausania Inn is an ideal spot to relax. In addition to its 63 rooms, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a large restaurant specialized in local and national cuisine, a bar and a panoramic terrace make for a memorable stay. Also, wireless Internet connection is available in common areas of the hotel.
Massive granite columns, echoing Tempios traditional architecture, characterize Pausania Inns facade. An L-shape wing stems out of the main building, moving downward along a gentle slope. Both peripheral parts of the hotel can be accessed without going through the main building, which ensure some degree of independence and adds to the Inns reserved ambiance.
Rooms are fuss-free, bright, and clean. Their overall feel is warm and welcoming. They all have a complete private bathroom, a television set, heat, and air conditioning. Breakfast is of the continental sort here, with a good selection of juices, coffee, cereal and muesli, cured meats, croissants, bread and jam.
The inn caters to single travelers, to couples, and to families. Pausania Inns lovely outdoor swimming pool- with adjoining "kiddie pool" is suitable for adults and young children alike, and the tennis court can be illuminated upon request for those warm summer evenings. Take in Sardinias glorious summer sunsets from the Inn's terrace, which enjoys a gorgeous view of the jagged granite mountains of Aggius.
That the Inn is owned by an Italian - American family means you can get the scoop on Sardinia in English, but from locals in- the know. Guests who enjoy hiking mountain biking, horseback riding and other outdoor activities will get their moneys worth here, a the Inn is well connected with local guides and all sorts of outfitters (bike rental available on site). Hotel also offers dry cleaning, lobby, reception and smoke free hotel.

The Inns restaurant offers well-prepared homestyle Italian dishes, frequently boasting superb Sardinian cuisine Too. The experienced chef prepares excellent Porcetto (roasted herb flavored pork), Zuppa alla gallurese (a layered cheese and bread treat that locals and travelers the world over rave about), seadas (a cheese filled desert topped with honey), and lots more. You can order from a rich menu or have the great value daily specials (you can tuck into a mouthwatering three-course meal here for under the 20 euro make that 22 and you can wash everything down with plenty of locally produced wine). Switching from B & B to half - board on site means you spend less per meals, but if you commit to breakfast only, you can still join the happy crowd of half - boarders any time you wish to. Try to get a spot in front of the fireplace for extra ambience in winter, and a spot in the closed- in terrace for gorgeous mountain views in summer. They homey decor and friendly staff keep
