The hotel has beautiful, amazing views of the Ionian Sea and a nice beach. However, the facility is in dire need of an update. The furniture is dated and the plumbing not adequate (a sink that wouldn't drain). A few minor cosmetic changes, such as new drapes and chairs, and attention to detail such as slow draining sinks could make this a 4 or 5 star hotel.

naja....
es wird auf der homepage von e bookers mehr versprochen als gehalten!! eher eine enttäuschende begrüssung und erfahrung... der "manager" sieht sich wohl als boss!! aber nicht nur vom hotel... das personal sonst ist sehr freundlich... ich war ausserhalb der saison da, also kein stress für die angestellten, kann also keine aussage machen, wie es wäre, wenn betrieb ist....

Erholsamer Urlaub
Wir haben uns in diesem Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt, weil das Personal ausserordentlich aufmerksam ist. Vom Empfang, über das Zimmermädchen, zu den Kellnen bis zum Bademeister! Sie haben uns einen Mietwagen organisiert und haben immer bereitwillig Auskunft auf Fragen gegeben. Wir wussten, dass das Hotel sehr ringhörig ist und können das nun bestätigen. Aber das hat uns nicht gestört, da jetzt Nebensaison ist und es nicht viele Gäste hatte. Was nicht so toll war, ist das kleine Badezimmer. Für grosse Menschen oder für etwas fülligere Personen verlangen das Duschen und der Gang zur Toilette etwas Geschick, weil es sehr eng ist. Fürs Baden empfehlen wir Badeschuhe. Der Sand ist grobkörnig und es hat einige Steinchen, die das Gehen etwas unwegsam machen. Sollten wir wieder einmal in dieser Gegend Urlaub machen, werden wir wieder in dieses Hotel gehen!

Short walk from hotel
Restaurant "Castelluccio", ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss vom Hotel in Richtung Taormina Seilbahnstation. Nella kocht mit Passion und die Speisen sind mit natürlichen Produkten zubereitet. Sie sind immer frisch, es wird beispielsweise täglich gefischt. Wer gute sizilianische Küche und eine familiäre Atmosphäre schätzt, ist im Castelluccio am richtigen Ort. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, fürs Essen und Getränke muss aber wie überall in Taormina etwas tiefer in die Tasche gegriffen werden. Das Restaurant wird rundherum von allen guten Hotels empfohlen. Nella hat Stammgäste und freundet sich gerne an mit ihren Besuchern.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. If I point out some of small problems we faced, - Wifi internet was a bit expensive - Road was narrow and many cars parked there. It was quite dangerous to walk up to cable car for city centre - Lunch buffet tastes excellent but too expensive (31 Euro per person) - Walls/floors are so thin that you can easily hear someone is walking in the room above Although having these problems, again, I would say we had a pleasant stay. Location was so nice (for private beach, restaurant), staffs were friendly and polite, and clean room with air conditioning.
