It is well equipped to satisfy the needs of a long or even a long stay. The other amenities are alarm clock, balcony / terrace, bathrobe, bathroom amenities, color TV, hairdryer, heating, internet access, non-smoking rooms, pay TV, pay-per-view movies, room service, safe in room and telephone.

- The Hotel Alimuri is located into the bay of Alimuri, one of the most beautiful beach resorts of the Sorrento peninsula, just 20 metres from the water of the Mediterranean Sea, but well connected to all the most important location of the Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. 20 minutes by train from Pompeii, 40 minutes from Herculaneum and an hour from the city of Naples. Amalfi Positano and Ravello are reachable from the center of Sorrento taking the sita bus in just 30/40 minutes ride on the panoramic road of the amalfi coast. Capri can be reached in 20 minutes using the ferrie that depart from the horbour of Sorrento.Remember that the hotel offers free shuttle service to Sorrento town center, then, you'll stay in a quiet location but enjoy the Sorrento historical centre any time during the day with no additional charges.

Beautiful location, the staff
Beautiful location, the staff was very polite. I kind of expected the pool in the spa area to be heated, but it wasn't ... if that's all there is to complain about, I guess it is a great place, right? RIGHT!! We had a wonderful time over vacation because of staying here. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Sorrento or Amalfi area.

Not very central but pleasant
Read other reviews and expected hotel to be in convenient location-not so! If you come into Sorrento by train, get off two stops before Sorrento at the Meta stop and walk downhill about 10 minutes to the hotel, which is on a main road, just above the beach. We took the train to Sorrento and caught the A-1 (?) bus to Meta, got off at the end of the route, which leaves you at a marina on the beach, with a 5 minute hike in the sand, dragging suitcases and a long stair climb to reach hotel, about 25 minutes out of Sorrento. To leave the hotel and go off sightseeing make sure that you have purchased a bus ticket from a Tabacca (sp?) shop. (the little Pizza restaurant on the beach also sells bus tickets).Bus drivers don't sell tickets. Tickets get activated only once on the bus, so you can buy multiples in advance. The bus stop is up the road from the hotel, past the tunnel and by the entrance to the marina. The small pizza restaurant on the beach serves great food, especially the ricotta cheesecake! A must have even if you hate cheesecake! Good breakfast at the hotel and free internet. Once you get used to the location, it is easy to get around. We used Sorrento as a home base to go to the Isle of Capri, Amalfi coast and Pompeii.
