Getting to the hotel was beyond challenging, as the hotel's website directions do not even begin to provide guidance. Once at the hotel, a map was provided that definitely should have been posted on the website to assist in driving. The hotel's
minimalistic, sterile decor and non-descript rooms, although in a good location and providing a good value, are below average and do not blend with the historic, surrounding area and town.
Although it worked for a short overnight stay, this hotel would not be on a list for any type of extended visit to Siena.

Basic bland hotel
Siena is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and sadly the Minerva does not do it justice. The location is just barely in the old town, and while the pizzeria across the street was excellent (try the sausage and truffle pizza), the
hotel's breakfast was plain and unremarkable. With so many cute hotels closer to the heart of this adorable town, I can't see staying here again.
