The iQ Hotel Rome is a complex focused on 'made-to-order' vacations, meaning staff are on-hand 24/7, and this Rome hotel operates much more like serviced apartments than typical hotel rooms. Customize your stay however you like, whether thats grabbing a vending machine snack on the way to the business center, serving yourself from the terrace bar, or getting a blast of heat at the sauna. The hotel keeps the decor minimal but comfy, with large red settees for a quick snooze and a leafy, open-air terrace with front-row, outdoor seats for the Opera House.
Key facts
  • 88 guestrooms
  • Breakfast buffet
  • Self-service bar in the lobby
  • Gym and sauna
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout hotel and business center
  • Terrace play area for kids
  • Self-service laundry facilities
Neighborhood
The hotel is located a few blocks north of Rome Termini Station and around 12 minutes from Trevi Fountain. iQ is next door to the Opera House, and there's also plenty for retail enthusiasts to get excited about: iQ is just a short walk from Via Nazionale, renowned for its posh Italian clothing stores, like Marte's, Max Mara and Motivi. Those checking the four grand Basilicas of Rome off their bucket list will be pleased to find the Santa Maria Maggiore church a three-minute walk to the south.
Hints and tips
Dining nearby Skirt around the Opera House and explore the Monti neighborhood for its finest eating establishments - La Piazzetta in Via del Buon Consiglio is well-known for its antipasti offerings.

If you're in a rush to catch your flight home, the iQ has express check-out systems in the lobby - much like the self-service check-in kiosks you find in major airports.

Awesome location

As a first timer to rome this hotel was ideally located. Easy 10 min walk to most major destinations around round, or a quick walk to the metro to access anything else. Hotel was clean, quiet and staff spoke English which was very helpful. Highly recommended.

Amazing boutique hotel with a terrific location

Location, location, location. This was an amazing boutique hotel with a terrific location. We decided to take the express train from the airport since the hotel is just a few blocks and an easy walk from the main train station. (Between my wife and me we were pulling and carrying a total of 160 pounds of luggage since we had to packs for a week-long trip in October not being sure whether it would be hot or cold.) We also walked to the train station to catch a very inexpensive train to the port to board our ship. The décor of the hotel is ultra modern and the rooms were absolutely spotless. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast each morning in their rooftop restaurant. One morning we even took advantage of the outside terrace seating area. The staff went out of their way to help us find an Italian restaurant near the hotel that served Gluten Free food for my wife. There was also a wonderful home made Gelato shop. I was also amazed at the low prices in tier vending machines. Only one Euro for Coke. We also took advantage of their coin operated laundry to clean our clothes prior to boarding the cruise ship. They also had a free iron in the laundry. This location was also within easy walking distance to the Coliseum and several other key sites. It is also very close to the Metro to catch a train cross town to the Vatican. There is no question we would stay her on future trips to Rome

Best place we stayed in italy!

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly, and given some information about the area. All of the necessary information was well conveyed, and we went off to our room. It was nicely done, modern, and comfortable. The room keys worked as entry for the building, and controlling the room lights. Very nice. The staff was great, and the breakfast offered was amazing as well.

Amazing find in Roma

This hotel was a welcome modern and comfortable find in the centre of Rome with all of the amenities we were looking for: laundry, a room safe, hot water and self- serve beverage stations including the world's best vending machine with 6 Euro bottles of wine. The roof top garden patio area was a perfect place to relax after a busy day of site-seeing and the staff were very knowledgable and helpful arranging airport transportation. We would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Nice location and value

Location is great and the various snack, coffee, wine, beer, amenities are nice. The breakfast is a good deal at 10 Euros. This is a modern hotel so if you are looking for a historic place this is not it. The beds are a bit firm but the rooms are nice.

Great Value

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are immaculate and modern. Size is better than average for European accommodations. The beds are a little stiff like futons but they were much better than the 2 other full service 4star hotels we stay in Florence and Venice. It's in a prefect location near the termini and the Metro. There's no need for taxis with all the cheap public transportation and basically almost everything is within walking distance, depending on your exercise tolerance, We walked to the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain easily within 15 minutes. Colosseum and Spanish Stops are just a couple of stops on the Metro. What's really nice is that it's fairly quiet after the noisiness and crowds at the attractions. There's a small fridge perfect for saving money and buying from the grocery store just around the corner. Good restaurants are plenty nearby for a variety of budgets. We stayed there for a few days prior to the bus tours to Florence and Venice and returned for a night prior to leaving. We are so glad we found this wonderful hotel. It's a fantastic value, even compared to the more expensive hotels where we usually stay.
