Hotel Victoria Roma review

The hotel was mainly used as a base for sightseeing during our stay. 100 yards from a taxi stand, and the hotel staff was very helpful. Easy to arrange tours and an airport shuttle at the front desk. Great breakfast buffet (included in the price of the room). The room wasn't particularly large, but comfortable and had a large, separate stand-up shower. Overall, a pleasant place to stay, a hotel I would use again.

Victoria Hotel Roma

Very nice hotel with a great location. Only a block or so to the Via Veneto and situated directly across from the Villa Borghese. We could walk easily to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The cafe dining along the Via Veneto was excellent. This hotel has roof top dining and a great breakfast which was included in the price. The staff was very friendly.

Perfect location, great hotel

The hotel was great. English-speaking staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great. 5 minute walk to train station where you could hop a train to wherever you wanted to go. About 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain. 2 minutes to Via Veneto (with tons of restaurants, shops, etc.) Didn't even try the restaurant - too many good ones within a 1 mile radius of the hotel. Rooms were just enough. They're small because we're in Europe, but clean and good. Didn't hear much noise. I would stay here again. Tip: don't take an unlicensed cab! They sometimes charge you 10 times the actual rate. Travel to the airport in early morning (when the Leonardo Express doesn't run) can incur extra fees. Be mindful. If riding the Leo, you'll still need a cab from Termini to the hotel. In all,a great stay. Rome is very walkable. We didn't regret staying closer to the "center" one bit!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a "bar" right around the corner in an off-street that runs perpendicular to Via Veneto. Step out of the hotel, turn left. make a left at the very first street. Then make a right (sorry I don't remember street names). There are two really good restaurants there and one that just says "BAR". The cappucinos and espresso is less than 1 euro, and the gelato and pastries are great. Make sure to stand at the bar to avoid surcharges for sitting (as with any bar in Italy).

This was a very nice hotel. We had a lovely room with a balcony. Very clean hotel with good character, very helpful staff. Only downside is that it is a little away from the action, but close to lots of expensive restaurants and hotels surrounding the U.S. Embassy.
