Wouldnt stay here again, there was no toilet in the room, it was down a hallway. The toilet was old and in need of repair, it make some funny noises ! One young guy on reception was ok, but seemed to do all the work the others were rude. The hotel looked alright down the bottom, so we were shocked when we got our room, not flash. Noisey location, but near the train station.

We first stayed at the Stromboli in 2002 when it was a one star hotel. In 2004 it had become a two almost a 3 star hotel. More amenities. This past trip things needed fixing. We were moved several times due to not having hot water, a/c, a working phone, or safe all in the same room . We ended up going with the working safe and air conditioning. I believe there were new owners since our last visit. The bar was gone and it was being used as a breakfast area. The overall location of the Stromboli though is fantastic. Being right next to the Termini and bus station, plus the bus to the airport cannot be beat. However, we did pick up some business cards of other hotels in that same area for our next trip. The hotel staff was accommodating to a point, but I believe that guests should not have to work so much with the front desk to get some basic items in a hotel. [...]

Good front desk service. Wireless internet in lobby is 3 Euro/Hr. TV costs extra as well. Included breakfast was pretty good with a wide variety of foods incl. cappuccino & espresso. I got a very small room with a small twin bed. (comfortable if you like a VERY firm mattress) There was a lot of plumbing & other noise from adjacent rooms which fortunately quieted down about the time I went to sleep. Very convenient location about 2 minutes walk from Termini train station. I stayed here my last night in Rome because it was close to Termini. It's not fancy or romantic (nor is the neighborhood) but it was functional and inexpensive.

The location of the hotel is the key for our trip since we need to take train several times. It is just a few minutes walk to the terminal station. The facility needs major update though. AC is not really working, but we got by OK since the weather was not hot when we were there. Even the door handle of the bathroom is falling. Be creative if you want a shower! We used a few clips to spread the curtain so that it does not fall on you. If you are not a picky traveler... The staff is friendly. I think the price reflects its location but not the amenity.

Location was perfect, you can go wherever you want from Termini station which is just across the hotel... Breakfast was not satisfactory though...

My initial impression of the hotel was not good however the place grew on me. The neighborhood is a little rough looking however I was comfortable yet cautious with the area by the time I left. I stayed for 6 nights. I loved the convenience of being right by the train station. The staff were friendly and accommodating. My single room was small but met my basic needs for a place to shower and sleep. I felt safe inside and traveling alone this was important. Breakfast was included each morning. I think for the price this is a decent place to stay.

This hotal is very close to the train station and bus terminal. While that is a plus it is also a minus because of all the traffic noise on the street below. The breakfast had a nice variety - enough to satisfy picky teenagers. Very helpful staff. Large rooms allowing plenty of space for 4.

Very close to Termini station! You can go anywhere from there. And you will find a shopping mall; coffee stand, McDonald, 24 hrs open supermarket where you can get a reasonable price water bottle and souveniors including wine and liquors. Even though we once lived in Rome, it took a while to get used to Italian way after we knew standardized and comfortable American hotels. The room was stuffy. The fridge was not so cool. The lids of drain outlets were removed probably due to the aging. Unfortunately, the safety box in our room was out of order. In fact, we had never stayed in hotels having not good facilities during our previous stay in Rome. But the basic items were equipped. With a little patience, you can enjoy your hotel stay as the location is extremely good. The staff is friendly, kind and reliable (they did what we/my friend in Rome asked exactly.) Breakfast had lots of choices compared to other average Italian hotels we experienced. On the whole, that's a good deal!
