Great hotel for a short trip

Hotel staff was outstanding. Food was great and restaurant inside the hotel made the stay even better. right off A4 and 25 minutes from Marco polo Airport. Between Vince and Verona. Only issue was like all hotels in Italy that I that I have stayed in, the bed was hard...

Before Cruise visit to Rome

This hotel is located in a good spot to get to Termini, walk to sites or get on the HO-HO. It was typical of a 3 star European hotel, it's in a building with private residences and is not a "US-style" place. The staff was accommodating and there was a very nice breakfast included. The "lobby" is one flight of steps up so suitcases were a pain and the bathroom's shower door was so small that my wife fit and I didn't. All in all a great value, nice people, clean and perfect to see Rome before or after a cruise for a couple of days. I would stay elsewhere if it were for longer.

Great Location in downtown Rome

The Hotel Sonya has "extra rooms" available at a nearby location without an easy access (for reference or for Taxi drivers). The staff was mostly Arab-speaking and remained aloof from Caucasian American guests. Good breakfast service! Best Wi-Fi connection we had in Italy!

Decent

Hotel was decent. Nice location with most sites in walkable distances. Breakfast was great - various options along with coffee/tea/juice. The whole hotel was very hot though (this was January).

Great value for money

Excellent location opposite the opera house and only a short walk to the main train station and hop on hop off buses. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations with more variety than we had anticipated and the dining room was nicely set with tablecloths and had beverage service. Very helpful front desk staff. Be prepared for the unique but antiquated lift and remember you're in Europe. Would definately stay there again.

Student Spring Break Travel

Our experience at Sonya Hotel was great. The staff were very, very nice especially because we didn't speak Italian. The location of the hotel was great since it was located very close to Termini station which was super useful for traveling around Rome. For the price the room was spotlessly clean and very spacious and comfortable. And possibly the best part was the breakfast! It was great to have a nice breakfast right in the hotel before starting a busy day in Rome. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, whether students traveling on a budget or anyone looking for a great hotel at a great price!

Stayed at the Sonya Hotel in Rome 3-8 thru 3-13

Everything was very nice and quiet. Stayed in remodeled 5th floor room. Continental breakfast was delicious. Only problem I had was the the WiFi would drop off unexpectedly while I was checking e-mail. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and the Colosseum. Also very close to Termini and lots of other historic places to see!
