Would not recommend
out of the way
Was in Rome for a conference and decided to stay close to venue. The good: relatively inexpensive and near local rail line. The bad: As a US traveler was not ready for the small size of everything. The room, the shower, the closet space. Internet was available, but expensive and slow to get wifi password. If I had to travel again would have either stayed at the nearby Marriott, or stayed in the city which would have been more enjoyable.

Great walking city. Get tix for Vatican online and go early. But tix for the Collesium at the Forum (same tix gives entry for both).
