This new hotel is located in a pleasant and peaceful setting in the green Aurelia area of Rome, near the GRA ring road and 15 minutes drive from Vatican City. Built in 2004, the Scheppers Hotel features a range of well-equipped guest rooms, all of which come with a shower. The quiet residential location of the hotel provides a peaceful and relaxed setting away from all the traffic and noise of Rome's city centre. There are lots of car parking spaces all around the hotel, while a free shuttle service is available on request for guests to the metro station Cornelia and, on request also to both Fiumicino and Ciampino airports (at a fixed rate). The hotel provides amenities like bar, concierge, conference facilities, lift/elevator, lobby, non-smoking rooms, parking facilities free of charges, pets allowed, reception and restaurant. Breakfast is included.

Dissapointed

I have no idea how this hotel earned 3 stars. The comforter had stains on it, the TV didn't work, and the location was not how they described. It is right near a gas station and McDonalds that is constantly busy and filled with garbage. The shuttle service is only available for up to 7 people- which fills up fast. We were only able to take it one of the days. It is also only available at 2 times in the morning (no return service) and you are dropped of near a metro stop that is still a good ways from the center of the city. The breakfast buffet was however surprisingly good and plentiful.

Visit different points of interest in Rome In our case,we spend 6 nights, and the only complain: 1 good breakfast but same items every day 2 they clean the room but in 6 night they did not change sheets 3 not in may case because I travel with rental car but people walking, more or less 300 mtr from bus stop and up hill.

You better have a car if you stay here

First of all the address from Orbitz is wrong. The cab driver did not know where it was, we did not know of course, and we had to pay for travel there. You can't catch a cab off the street you have to go to a taxi stand and call for a cab (so you better have international calling or coins). You need to know exactly what numbers to dial because they were not helpful. The rooms are just rooms...it is not a 3 or 4 star. It's a 1 or 2. The staff were GREAT in spite of all the other issues. The picture must have been taken when they first opened.
