Good but could be much better

The hotel and its rooms are nice and romantic, but don't count on sleeping in as the doors are paper thin and you will be woken up early by other guests and then the cleaning staff. Decent selection at breakfast, but no fresh coffee?!

Alfred Hitchcock

That guy at the desk looked like. He's rude and had words with some of the guests. We felt like we were bothering him at asking basic questions. My breakfast was good but the place is a 15 min bus ride away from a lot of it. Plan ahead they are not helpful here on where to go. Don't go to the prizza place they say, we were hustled on a dessert that we thought it was free. The rooms very clean

paper thin walls, noise and rudeness

Did not have a single night's rest due to the noise from the street, from the staff, from other guests at the hotel. The first night we were greeted by a very rude man - thank God he was not there the rest of our stay - we saw him again on the day we left. The breakfast was nothing special and there was nothing else provided by the hotel. Even the sitting area in the so called "garden" was dismantled at the end of the breakfast and there wasn't even a place to sit outside after breakfast was over. There are many many options and this is not the best one. Not a convenient location either - do not believe that it is within walking distance to anything - IT IS NOT! Bus + Metro for most places and then a 4 block walk after you get off the bus to get to the hotel. The room was clean - that was the ONLY PLUS.

Great location and peaceful

Hotel in located in a restored villa surrounded by gardens. The main advantage is that it's close to the center and several buses stop about a 3 minute walk from it. Breakfast was full of choices and we ate it out in the garden. Room was big enough and so was our modern bath. We'll be back !!!

Great hotel

Great hotel with good price. Bed was really comfortable, room was always cleaned, big window and enough space for everything. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good and the hotel provides a nice atmosphere. Location is good as well, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel where you can take buses to anywhere in Rome and there's also a subway station close by (10 min walking). The area has many restaurants and shops, which is great. The only downside is the noise from other rooms and halway, you can listen to everything from your room, but that's the only negative thing. I would definetely stay again and recommend this great hotel!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

We had dinner at a lovely Japanese restaurant located near the hotel (on the other side of the street). I can't remember the name, but the owners are Chinese and really friendly! We arrived there at 11.30pm to have dinner on a Sunday night but that was not a problem for them! Food is amazing and the white wine was great too!

Long Weekend in Rome

The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Northern Rome, and is a short (15minute) walk from the main train and bus station. Great welcome from desk staff, with information about buses and tickets etc. Room was large, light and airy and despite being at the front of the hotel was very quiet. Buffet breakfast has a variety of foodstuffs to choose from to set you up for a day of sightseeing. Local buses pass on the street outside to take you to where you want to go, but Trevi Fountain is a 20minute walk and the Vatican City is about a 45minute gentle stroll. Overall a very good hotel that we will recommend to friends and are likely to use again.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If visiting the Colloseum etc do not buy your tickets at the Colloseum as the queue is massive.....instead walk 200m down towards the Palatine where the queue has about 20 people. The ticket you buy allows you into the Colloseum and there is no queues for prebooked tickets!!

Excellent choice when visiting Rome

The hotel is very charming with a beautiful garde. Breakfast was very good to get you started for our long visiting days. The staf was very nice and very helpful when providing information. The combination of price and location is very good; there is no need for paying more at a so-called better location; there is a bus stop a block from the hotel where you can catch buses to all the important points within the city. If we return, we would not hesitate in repeating this hotel.

Good location, Tiny room

Liked the area for this hotel. Just a little outside the hustle and bustle but walkable to a lot. The room was tiny with not much light coming in, although the bathroom was good size. The building looked very old and impressive. The staff was super. The breakfast was decent, although I'm not a breakfast eater. The garden aspect was very nice with lots of greenery and gave the impression of being out of the city. I would stay again but ask for a bigger room. I think I was given their smallest room because I was a single.

Rome vacaTion

Very nice hotel. Quite, charming and relaxing. It is a little bit away from town, so a cab is necessary for almost everything. There are only two so so restaurants near it. There is nothing else to see or do in the immediate vacinity. The room is comfortable and clean. Basic but nice. The bathroom was really tiny. If you are a larger person, the bathroom will be a challenge. There was no room to move around, no counters, and the shower stall is minimal. For the price, it was a good deal. No frills, though.
