Ostia Antica Park Hotel Rome (Fiumicino)

'A convenient hotel located near Fiumicino airport. The hotel was simple and satisfactory. This was my first holiday as a single traveler, taking a break and I found that despite the language barrier the staff was exceptional particularly Luca Casucci (front desk#. Everyone including the Manager Carlo Amorosi to the kitchen staff, Floriana, Maurizio and, Teresa, Adriano #driver) made my stay a memorable one and I can’t thank them enough. The Spa facilities were also a bonus! It was the perfect way to spend the evening after an adventurous day admiring the culture and history of Roma. There was no issues about transport, the number 4 bus stopped immediately outside the hotel and took you to the mainline stations as described in another review. It was so much more interesting exploring the city by taking the local bus and trains. All the staff was very professional and efficient and more than made up for the limited availability of services ie transfer from the airport to the hotel. The service was very prompt and I would definitely recommend Ostia Antica hotel.'

We had to cancel our trip to Italy this month because of a disabling accident, and Ostia Antica Park Hotel would not refund our payment, even though we gave them sufficient advance notice. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

First of all, the hotel was to far from the Vatican, it was south of the airport instead of north, it would it be much better to be in between airport and Vatican. The hotel was nice, but the service was not as good, it need it much improvement. thanks

we were looking for an airport Hotel, since our flight left at 7.40 am. the hotel was filtered out as Airport Hotel, yet it was 5 km from the airport. The shuttle was 15 Euro per room and didn,t start till 7 am, so it was no good anyhow, besides the price. It was suggested to take a taxi, which we then reserved. That charged us 35 Euro for the short ride and can only be considered as ripp off, like most everything in Italy. My advice is stay in town and get the regular airport shuttle for 8 Euros. The night before our departure was a party outside our room at the pool with loud terrible music till 12.30 am, so sleep was impossible. The Internet was 3 Euros an hours and didn't work. We spent our last night in Italy here before heading home and selected it in part because it offered an airport shuttle. . However, our flight was early, and upon checkin I was told that the shuttle only runs certain hours, so we had to pay extra for a taxi. (There was a charge for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel, which they did not tell me about until checkout, even though I had asked about all charges the night before). The concierge, though friendly, could not help us with the most basic of requests, such as a glass of ice (although he was all of ten meters from the bar, which was already closed). My wife and I both had cold showers in the morning as the water never got warm, much less hot. The satellite TV was the size of a laptop screen and was barely visible from the bed. In addition, the location was very isolated. The nearest ATM was too far for us to walk to, and the hotel is at least a 20 minute drive from the airport - not 15 as they claim. We stayed in five different establishments during this trip and this was by far the worst. To be fair, though, we did not see the hotel during the daytime; it did seem clean and peaceful, but we did not use its pool, restuaruant, or other facilities. But after our experience I have no interest in doing so.

The hotel is declared as "Airport" (Fiumicino), but there is no organized Shuttle service to and from the Airport. It is available on demand, but it costs EUR 12 in each direction. Hotel has the pool, but the guests are obliged to pay EUR 5 by day if they want to use it. WiFi service is also available, but you have to pay it extra, as well. And for whole hotel, there is 1 (ONE) desktop computer available in lobby area, so if you want to check your e-mail without payment, you'll have to wait an hour or two. Noisy and not much comfortable beds. Good thing - nice breakfast, included at price.

Good Accomodation, near FCO, lovely pool & spa facility, Great Dining & lovely free breakfast brunch.

Hi I chose this hotel because it was very close to fiumicino airport! the room was clean, but too small.

I had to pay 15 Euro for the "airport shuttle" service. Their wireless internet access cost 3 Euro for an hour. I just felt that they charge for EVERYTHING!

A great place to stay while transiting from one city to another. Awesome price of $65 a night while euro exchange rate is quite painful for a budget traveler. You will pay 15 euros for the hotel shuttle to the airport - one-way. The linen was very nice and clean - my most important value for any hotel. Very lovely courtyard with white columns and beautiful swimming pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast ordinary, if you are happy with a bowl of cereal or fruit and some breads with jams, you will like it. No deli meats or cheeses. The bathroom was not stocked with much supplies, but there was a fan. Close proximity to the airport is the big plus.
