The Isa Hotel Rome stands out from competing establishments, with its bold monochrome palette, oversized clock faces, and unique approach to everything from angled newspaper racks to the minimalist bed canopies in the deluxe rooms. The design touches of this hotel are nicely contrasted with it being in a traditionally demure 19th-century building. Enjoy privileged views over the grand dome of St. Peter's as you sip a slow cocktail at the terrace bar, and if you visit in the spring, you can enjoy your morning cappuccino and Italian pastries at the bar as well.

Neighborhood
The Isa Hotel sits between the Tiber river and Vatican City - a marked contrast to the hotel's own style. Walk to St Peter's Basilica or catch the bus from the Cicerone-Cavour or Cicerone-Pinio bus stops. Fascinating sights lie in every direction, like the quasi-star-shaped Parco Adriano and the Museo Vaticani, found within the hallowed city walls. Of course, Rome's history is equally matched by its present, so guests looking to take home some elegant wares should check out the region of Prati. Located beside the Vatican, this area is known for its boutique jewelers and high-end clothing stores along Via Cola di Rienzo.
Hints and tips
Traveling to Rome with a group Guests can host events and parties among the rooftop gardens for a truly unforgettable night - just contact the hotel in advance to make the arrangements.

For the hopelessly gelato-addicted, Gelati Gelati provides some of the best ice cream in the city, and is found on the same street as the hotel - just cross over Via Cicerone and walk south towards Piazza Cavour.

with upgraded room, great experience, helpful staff, clean

We are in a habit of upgrading our room, if its not too expensive. For us a spacy clean room is important. We also appreciate free WiFi and breakfast included in room price. All in all, as little hassel as possible. Hotel ISA really fulfilled our hopes. Everything went as promised, no setbacks and the extra service for a taxi to the airport was promptly organized. the location close to Vatican and not too far from closest metro station was for us ideal. The roof terrace bar was good enough for us, no restaurant as such in the hotel, but plenty of them around the hotel. The cleaning of the room worked well, usually there is some kind of hassel like to room is cleaned too late or some items in the bathroom run out etc, not this time..we appreciated that much.

Perfect location perfect vacation

First and foremost, the hotel was proximal to St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican museum and the adjacent attractions which were our main focus. However, it was also close to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and a whole host of other museums and monuments. Most of them were within 15 minutes walk. The colosseum was a bit further, so, we took a cab. The hotel amenities were outstanding, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel special. Breakfast on the terrace was grand (I haven't seen so much variety for a meal that should be the smallest of the day). There are a myriad of restaurants, close by, for lunch and dinner specials.

Good, centrally located hotel

We arrived from airport around noon i.e. a bit early but we got to choose type of room because of that. Nice touch. Room was for four people but we were only two so we had lots of space. Room was good although oddly no iron. This was chargeable service available from hotel. Breakfast on roof terrace was really good including Prosecco! Omelettes and cappuccinos available. In evening the terrace became a bar overlooking the rooftops of Rome towards St Peters. Willy the barman was very hospitable. Overall hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. Location was good and I would happily return.

Rome hotel stay

I would definitely recommend this hotel IF you can get a room on the second floor on the inside courtyard. The second floor rooms have been entirely redone and are modern and well lit. We had originally been assigned a room on the third floor where the lighting and design were not as advertised on their website at all and they were kind of depressing After two days, they finally were able to move us into a lovely room with a small balcony. From that point on we totally enjoyed our stay there. They have a terrific roof garden where breakfasts and evening drinks are served. Breakfasts were great with lots of options including omelets and cappacinos made to order. We were there for New Year's Eve and we were able to view the city's fireworks from roof's fabulous vantage point. This hotel is very well located, slightly away from the crazy crowds but within very easy walking distance of all the wonderful Rome attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful, particularly the people who clean the rooms and provide breakfast and drinks on the roof garden. Enjoy!

Romantic weekend

the location is great. 15 minute walk north of Piazza Navona which is the nicest Piazza we found. 20 minute walk from Vatican. Bought superior room which was great with nicest walk in shower I have had in a room. Hotel recently refubished so looks really good. Dining/Bar area on roof with view of St Peters Basillica. Buffet breakfast good but wouldnt recommend the omlette. No decent restaurants near unfortunately. The nearest were in the Trastevere district which is 15 mins in a cab. Loved the hotel though and would thoroughly recommend.

pre book any trips to Vatican or Colosseum and make sure with a tour guide. Dearer but terrible queues and its great to just go straight through. Book early or late times as really cuts the crowds

It was a nice stay!

The room was nice, very close to the Vatican and the center of Rome. It was very clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. The only thing that is difficult to find in the neighborhood is a good restaurant. It would be so much more exciting if it had its own restaurant. But unfortunately you have to look around the area for a good one. The bar is pricey but its convenient. Everything was very comfy.

Isa, great location and value in Rome.

Excellent location merged with incredible value, sums up Rome's hotel Isa. A friendly and attentive staff are ready to respond to any questions you may have (their English is very good), and have a delicious breakfast buffet prepared every morning for you on their beautiful roof garden. If you're on a budget, this is an unbeatable deal. You are blocks from the Vatican, and in a part of downtown Rome that is pretty quiet (also very safe).
