We wanted to try a new area of Rome to stay in: easy walking to the "center" but not in the tourist hub. THis location was a good compromise. Short walk to the Vatican, then across the bridge and all our favorite spots were there.
We did have a
cell-phone problem in the room however: just would not connect on the back side of the building. However, the management quickly switched us to a front room, and all was fixed! (Street noise was almost not there.)
Reminder: there is no lift, but the staff helped get our oversized bags to the room, and helped whenever we needed something. Real smiles!
great location just a few blocks from Vatican. staff doesn't speak much English. I read reviews first so I was prepared for the flight of stairs to get up to the floor of the hotel. my room was very spacious with antique furniture, updated big
modern clean bathroom and a patio. good for what I needed.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):

Lots of good dining options on the few blocks around the hotel.
