Avoid Rooms by Elevator and Club Lounge

While the Hilton Rome Airport is a nice property, be sure to avoid rooms next to the noisy elevators and the 5th Floor Executive Lounge. This includes room 5078, which is adjacent to the executive lounge. There's no carpet in the lounge and you will hear everything through the thin walls. Also, the elevator buzzers are very loud. Avoid them if you want a peaceful rest.

Hilton at Fiumicino Airport - Rome

Everything was ordinary - but the third floor, all the non-smoking areas STANK with cigarette smoke. The elevators, the halls, the rooms, all truly STANK with cigarette smoke. I used to smoke, and actually don't mind cigarette smell, but this was an abomination. Also, yes, they have a long and tedious walk to "the" terminal, but it's to Terminal 3, NOT Terminal 5 (Delta to US leaves from Terminal 5). So save your $275 - 300 dollars and stay in someplace clean and comfortable and use the difference to take a cab. Oh, and the fact that their restaurant seems to be the only place in Italy where they don't know how to make a pizza or decent pasta.

Nice airport hotel

We stayed here for the last night of a 12 day stay in Rome. Our flight was at 10AM and we didn't want to have to rush around early in the morning and deal with Rome's crowds and traffic. It was an excellent choice for our purpose. The only negative I have, is that it is a long walk to the international terminal and several of the moving sidewalks were not working. But the exercise was good for us.

Hilton at Rome Airport

The hotel is convenient place to stay at the start or end of your visit to Rome. It's a 10 minute walk from the terminal to the hotel in a covered tunnel through the parking structure. With a free daily shuttle bus to and from the heart of the city, it provides a convenient way see many historic sites. The hotel breakfast is fabulous, but the in house restaurant has a very limited menu. If you're eating there for more than a day or two, it can get old. Rooms are clean, convenient, well-appointed. Nearby, there are few options for dining or entertainment other than the bus into Rome which takes about 40 minutes.

Friendly staff, great service

The Hilton Airport Rome Hotel is very convient for travelers such as I who are just passing through from one layover to home. It is just a good sheldered walk from the airport to the front desk where you are met with a competent staff person that will get you checked in quickly. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable, showers great and TV entertainment is reasonable. The resturant has good food.
