Excellent costumer service

We stayed at this Hotel at the end of May for our first trip to Rome. Joseph at the front desk was exceptional and helped us at every turn. From suggestions on the best places to shop to making sure we had a great breakfast before our early morning trip to Florence to helping me with Italian pronounciation. He truly went above and beyond. Also the hotel is tucked away in a quaint neighborhood. Extremely close to the Vatican and public transportation. We were able to shop with locals at the corner market and eat with them at nearby restaurants.

Great Vacation

Hotel Grand Tiberio was the perfect place to relax after a day walking in Rome. It is located in a very safe neighborhhod. Several restaurants and pizzerias are within walking distance and it is very easy to get to the center by bus 990 who stops almost in front of the hotel. The staff is very good and attentive, especially Umberto that went out of his way to help us with a problem we had and made several calls until it was resolved. Umberto is a real asset to Hotel Grand Tiberio. When in Rome we will definitely comeback to this hotel and will recommend it to friends and family.

Good value

Good value and great service. The only drawback is the location is a bit farther out than we would have liked. You can take the Train (right around the corner) and then the Metro but not that convenient on the weekend. Bus is also a possibility but if you want to be within walking distance of the Major attractions this is not it.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

About a block and a half from the hotel, there is a supermaket, where you can buy necessities and beverages for a very good price. There are convenient stores nearby where the prices are pretty good, but not very competitive.

I would definately stay here again!

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was a little warm and the rooms were a little small, but it was absolutely perfect for 3 girls on a budget who really just needed a place to sleep. We spent our whole day in the city, and it was nice to come back to a comfortable room. The staff was VERY friendly, greeted us upon arrival, and provided us with all the necessary information to navigate to and from the city. We also got free WIFI (wasn't the best but it worked) and a free breakfast, which included about 10 different juices, pastries, fruit, breads, coffee, scrambled eggs, and meats from 7:00-10:00 or something like that. This was a great value!

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

The biggest thing is it was kind of out of the way, but there were free shuttles from the hotel to the Vatican and City Center, and there was a bus stop within a 1 minute walk that cost €1, so this wasn't a huge expense. My advice though: First, get a pass for an open-city bus tour (hop on, hop off). The best one we found was €25, and it gave us unlimited access to their buses, ALL the city buses, the train, and the metro. It saved us a lot of money in the long run! You have to shop around for the right one though...don't get ripped off. The one we got was called Roman Christian I think. Seriously, do this! It will save you a lot of grief!
