If you want to stay in the heart of ancient Rome and be surrounded by fascinating Roman ruins, monuments and churches, the Forum Hotel is ideal. This elegant hotel is set in an 18th century building next to the ancient church of Santi Quirico e Giulitta and between the magnificent Coliseum and the Roman Forum. These truly spectacular sights can be admired from the hotels panoramic rooftop terrace featuring a restaurant and bar. Here you can enjoy a delightful mix of traditional Roman cuisine and international flavours.

The luxury Forum hotel offers comfortable guest rooms all traditionally furnished. The staff are on hand to offer advice and recommendations on how to make your stay in the Eternal City unforgettable. The Hotel Forum is close to Piazza di Spagna and the exclusive shopping area around Via del Corso and Via dei Condotti. It is well connected by public transport while many major attractions are within walking distance. The hotel offers Free Breakfast and No Smoking Policy. We inform our guests that the rooms of our hotel have been recently renovated with precious furniture. We have also modified the breakfast that will be a rich and complete American buffet breakfast, served on the most suggestive terrace of Rome, with the view from the Colosseum to the Imperial Forum and from the Palatine to the Capitol.

Great value for a high quality hotel and professional staff

The Forum Hotel is a great value with a professional staff. The location is good on the end of Rome near the Coliseum, the ancient Forum market ruins are just outside the front door. It has a nice dinning room on the top floor. I would recommend and return.

Location, Staff, and Ambiance --AMAZING

Fantastic location--if you are a walker, you won't need any transportation! A few blocks from the Coliseum, 45 min walk to Vatican, and 25 min walk to train station that will connect you to the airport and the rest of Italy! Staff was fantastic--friendly, helpful, and excellent language skills. Charming décor with larger rooms by European standards

Prepaid tours for Vatican and Coliseum worth definitely worth the money. We walked right past the line of people using standard entrance at the Vatican museum ---their estimated wait time was 4 hours!!!

Great location

During our overnight stay, we walked to many sites such as the Colosseo, Arco di Costantino, Foro di Cesare, Fontana di Trevi, etc. The staff was extremely helpful and allowed us to store our luggage with them for several hours after we checked out. The room was very modest, but the location was perfect.

Old fashioned

If you like old fashioned Hotels with a bit of quirky character this is for you. The location and view from the rooftop restaurant are wonderful, but there are no coffee/tea- making facilities in the rooms. European style adapters don't work as they have an older electrical system, but the staff are friendly and helpful.

If you're planning on going to the Vatican you must use a tour. The line to get into the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basillica, and Vatican museum is 3 hours, I saw it myself. We used www.viator.com and the guide we had was excellent and well worth the $75 per person.

Can`t get enough of Rome

Hotel was very good, though not as central as on previous trips. Close to forum, colosseum. Breakfast was about average,roof-top restaurant very good views over the forum. Staff were friendly and polite. Hotel changed system for gaining entrance to rooms and lighting but failed to notify residents prior to change over caused some confusion. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome for business or leisure. Only real complaint would be that the shower was very tight, I`m 6ft 225lbs someone bigger would find it difficult in turning around in the shower, but that was a very small issue for me. Great restaurants near by

Heart of Rome

Hard to find, yet right in the thick of things! The front door is shadowed by ruins on two sides! On the immediate Via Cavour you find a great street for Cafe, Pizza, Pastries and general knick-knack shopping. Walk a few blocks, up Cavour and you find even more shopping options off the multitude of side streets and larger cross streets you encounter. The Forum is in the shadow of the Colosseum and a stone's toss from many, many other sights. The rooftop restaurant is a nice place to enjoy cafe from in the morning and vino from at night. The staff is extremely friendly.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If you need some Euros in cash (many vendors do not accept credit cards), there is a "Change" shop right on Via Cavour and just a few shops away from the Forum. The charge for the change is only 6%, where ATM's can charge from 8-10.
