EWWWWW...you want me to sleep where?
The 'twin' size beds were really cots. My son who is in the military said that the cots in basic were more comfortable. We looked at the rooms and turned around and left. The rooms stunk terribly. It smelled like a sewer. Not to mention that they claim that they have to hold onto your passports! They store them in an open room with boxes on the wall. Camping, ha, I have never been camping like this. It is also hard to find the hotel. There is nothing near the site, but prostitutes. You have to drive to find a bus or metro to get anywhere. The parking lot is really far away from the facility. It is a dirt parking lot. There are trees you must weave through. If it rained you coudn't get out of the parking lot unless you had 4 wheel drive.

If your on a bit of a budget,
If your on a bit of a budget, and don't mind taking the bus + metro into downtown Rome, this place is great. We LOVED the Swimming Pool and recreation areas - they were top notch - beer, burgers, hot dogs and plenty of things for kids to do. The pool area also had a view! We booked the 31 Euro Trailer ... not to shabby for 30 Euro a night. Don't expect the Ritz, but for the price, quite nice and cozy. AC, Fridge, a couple of beds ... toilet and shower. In the evening, you can also get a pizza or some decently priced food in the restaurant on site. They also have internet cafe and video games. The whole lot ... right on site. Definitely recommended for realistic travelers. Oh, if you can afford it ... upgrade to the 60 Euro Trailer. Much nicer, and in a better location next to the pool area.

Cheap accommodation and good value
Cheap accommodation and good value for money. However, te mobile homes/cabins are literally "Mobile" as it was shaking as people from next door were walking. It felt like being on a boat at times...lol...if you have light sleep ...not a good choice! Nice swimming pool and nice environment overall.

It is advertized as a camp ground
It is advertized as a camp ground so one should not expect hotel like facilities. For the price and the type of service advertized it was truly "Fabulous". The camp ground is beautiful. With the 3 day Metro pass it was easy to get into Rome. Though the distance makes the travel into the center of the city a bit long, it is an enjoyable ride. We rate the experience very highly and would do it again if the opportunity ever presents itself.

A Miserable Hotel Experience
I was under the impression I was staying at a four star hotel. Albeit, I should have been wary of the low price[...]. There were a number of problems with the hotel. First, the website promised "close proximity to the airport" where, in reality, I had to take a 45 minute shuttle. Although the shuttle was free in taking me to the hotel, I had to pay for a 60 euro taxi ride to get back to the airport the next day. The room was also very uncomfortable. First, it was literally a trailer. There was no heat. The room smelled like mold. And, every two-three hours the whole room shook (it felt like an earthquake). I think this shaking was due to a malfunctioning generator, but am not really sure...The staff was not friendly and spoke no english.

Fabulous Village
Camping Fabulous is situated on a charming property away from the hustle and bustle of Rome, but still close enough to enjoy the city and the sights, NOT! This place has about as much charm as a potato. It may look scenic from the pictures provided- and the accomodations are rustic- but Via Cristoforo Columbo; a major highway into Rome is right next to the property makes for sleepless nights. Getting to Rome is simple: one 20 minute Bus ride, followed by 20 minutes on the Metro to Termini but only 2 bus lines serve the address, making the wait for a Bus 709/070 excrutiating! The "bungalows" are bare bones, two beds and a bathroom with shower, but they aren't very sturdy so when your neighbors wake up or start having sex your going along for the ride, you can also hear everything- great for improving your Italian- but not if you want some rest! The staff is very friendly, helpful, and speaks english, but the cleaning staff goes a little overboard. The one time my room was cleaned (the day before check-out) I came back from the city center at 9 PM looking forward to my last night here. The room was nice and clean and I even had new sheets, BUT all my stuff was gone; my clothes, food, keys, gifts, everything!!! Apparently there was a mix-up and these things happen, my check-out date was listed one day sooner, the food I had that could spoil did and wasn't replaced but I didn't care I only had one more night. Rome is a beautiful city and being there was awesome, I am a student so I am always looking for cheap accomodations, I've stayed in youth hostels all across Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, but this place rates far worse than anywhere I've been thus far. The location is terrible, breakfast is NOT included, the only thing this place has got going for it is the fact that it's in the vicinity of Rome. If you are planning on going to Rome to see the city and not for the beach DO NOT GO HERE! Cool stuff in the city: All of the sights in ancient Rome (Colosseum, Palentine Hill, Roman Forum, etc.), the Spanish Steps, the Vatican and of course the Sistine Chapel, Piazza Popolo, and so many more, have fun in Rome, just avoid this place!
