Nice place to stay

Gotta say....this is a decent place to stay. A little pricey, but thats because its location is right next to the major train, bus and metro station called Termini station, which is a very big plus! The hotel rooms are very very small, and the bathrooms are even smaller, so ladies....you are warned! Staff was helpful and spoke decent english. Free wifi, which was very useful in finding tours around Rome. The rooftop breakfast was nice, but after two days of the same breakfast, it started getting boring....but whatever...it was still free...shouldn't complain. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for those of you visiting Rome.

If you're visiting Rome for at least 3 days, get a 3 day pass for the train, metro, and bus. Definetly worth it!

Disappointed

IWe wished the room had been ready upon arrival at noon instead of having to wait three hours before starting out on our visit to the city. The breakfast roof terrace was well served and the food was diverse and well-prepared, but the glass ceiling needed ample repairs and the place was available only for the morning repast. The lovely view was mostly shrouded by tarps and other covers. Other stays at similar hotels in the same Termini area were much better at lower rates.

Time-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

Don't hesitate to use public transportation. We went to the Piazza D'Espagna in the subway and returned from the Piazza Navona on a crowded but comfortable bus when it started to rain. Both trips, as in past visits to Rome, were safe and friendly.

Outstanding in customer help

The managers there went out of their way to help us. They called a bus transportation tour company to arrange for our pickup in the morning. They called again when they were not on time. They gave us maps and told ud how to get to monuments and museums. They reserved a time at the Borghese Museum for us, because we can't speak Italian. They also provided a to go breakfast in a bag when we were gone early in the morning.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Go out of front of Termini station facing the U-shaped bus drop off road and turn right. Then go two blocks and turn left. Hotel is near shopping and restaurants. It is really easy to find, especially because i printed a map of the area on google.

Great Location. . .BUT!

The Eurostars Domus Aurea is a 3-minute walk from Rome's main train, bus, and Metro station. Great for convenience. From any part of the city, catch a bus marked Termi and you are back home. Good inexpensive restaurants near the hotel. Big supermarket around the corner. Note on restaurants: Avoid the Sicilian bakery/restaurant nearby - it is a ripoff! The BUT: The hotel lobby had a powerful, offensive sewer stink of burnt cabbage. It hit you like a wall. The rooms had no odor, but sometimes, the lobby stink drifted up the stairwell to the room floors. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and breakfast room on the upper floor with a great view. Clean new bathroom.
