I really enjoyed staying at the Duke Hotel

It's located a bit north of downtown Rome, but they provide a free shuttle to Piazza del Popolo. The free breakfast was much better than I expected, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again, and would feel comfortable recommending this hotel to anyone.

The free shuttle to Piazza del Popolo puts you within walking distance of many of the tourist sites. It runs every 1/2 hour.

Great out the way destination

We love the amenities, large beautiful room with balcony, great breakfast buffet and no-problem shuttle any time we wanted to go to the City Center. We stayed six nights so we got a good feel for the hotel and it surpassed our every expectation. I would stay there again. Nice little grocery and reasonably priced food places within walking distance to the hotel.

A hotel

Well it was my first time in Rome and what I heard of in regards to hotels I was not expecting anything nice as a matter of fact my friend and I already had it in our heads that it would be delapedated but what we got was a great place to stay. The room we had was small but not uncomfortable the beds are a little stiff but since we both have bad backs we were happy since this was to our advantage and pillows were soft. The bathroom was big and everything worked. The staff was friendly to us just give them time to do their thing if they look busy and they will attend to you in a friendly manner. The hotel is rather north of all tourist activities but that only gives you quiet nights and the shuttle gives you a ride to public transit and the Piazza del Popolo which if you follow the middle street down south you hit the tourist attractions. Over all nice place to stay and had good service at the Duke Hotel.

Great value

I found this hotel to be beyond my expectations. I did not have breakfast, nor used their shuttle service to the centre, but was satisfied with the rest of the service. Would book this hotel during my next visit in Rome.

Nearest station is Euclide which is 10 minutes walk from the hotel and is pretty much down the hill. Is recommended to walk if you don't have any luggage. Breakfast time is till 11 which is convenient, however we still didn't get up to eat! There is a carrefour within 5 minutes walk as well.

small but nice

the hotel is extremely beautiful and the workers are SUPER nice. It was a great hotel but be aware that the rooms are MUCH much smaller than what we are used to in the US. they are still nice just much smaller. The only real complaint I had was that the beds, when it says two twins or one single, it really means there are two twin beds pushed against each other for a single, not an actually bigger bed. I would still recommend this hotel and they do have a free shuttle service to the city center and a VERY nice helpful staff.

Great Hotel in Quiet Area

This elegant hotel in a quieter, residential area of Rome is a great value. Helpful, kind, and attentive staff helped make for a great stay. The hotel provides shuttle service to Piazza del Popolo, next to the Flaminion Metro station, and so the location about a half mile away from the tourist area of Rome was no issue at all. Although the beds were a little harder than necessary, the large all-marble bathrooms made for a comfortable stay. My family had a great time in Rome and the hotel helped enhance our experience. A special thanks to [...] and the front desk staff for a wonderful time. Keep up the good work and arrivederci!

Use the shuttle to get to Piazza del Popolo. Locate a Tabachi or other store that sells the Roma Pass for 25 Euros per pass which gets you two free entries to various sites (e.g. Colisseum, Palatine Hill, other national museums that otherwise charge entry fees) plus three days of unlimited rides on Metro, buses, and downtown rail.

insgesamt in Ordnung
