Excellent upscale hotel
We enjoyed our stay in every way. Although the hotel is across the river, the major attractions are within walking distance and the small restaurants near the hotel are great. Our room was reasonably large, well appointed, and perfectly clean. The huge tub was welcome after a long day. The staff was courteous and the breakfast was terrific. We visited in March, when the weather was perfect, lines at the attractions short, and the prices low.

Considering the regulated taxi fare from the city to the airport, it makes sense for two or more people to cab it back and forth rather than deal with the train (which is great) and then a taxi to the hotel, which might be very expensive unless you negotiate beforehand.

Great location, beautiful view
Gorgeous building, with great grounds and a very attentive staff. The breakfast was much better than you would normally get for the price of the hotel. Our room's decor was a bit tacky though, which is strange given how nice the rest of the hotel is. The Trastevere neighborhood is great for food, drinks and meandering. Try the oddly-named "Bar Good" right down the street for a drink and excellent people watching. Walk across Ponte Sisto for another fun late-night neighborhood.

Fantastic Out of Way Hotel
June 2011-Big, Big problem in finding the hotel at night in spite of repeat calls to hotel desk (he didn't understand our questions or how to direct us and we were sitting practically right on top of the hotel, but didn't know it!!!!) It took us 3 hours to find hotel. Finally after searching for an hour with locals who spoke Italian(they couldn't find it either, we finally found the hotel). Garmin was no help and neither was detailed map of Trastevere. We were exhausted to say the least! Unfortunately, by the time we found the hotel no eateries were open to grab a bite to eat so we had to wait until breakfast. Otherwise, the hotel was lovely. Breakfast is wonderful in the garden!!! This is a very quiet out of the way hotel, away from all the tourist attractions in Trastevere-lovely neighborhood! Language was a barrier though. They struggled with English.

Amazing Hotel!!
This hotel is an amazing hotel in Trastevere. It's a converted convent and they did a spectacular job with it. Breakfast is in the courtyard each morning, and was by far the best one we had during our trip. The room had an incredibly comfortable king bed and a great soaking tub. The hidden gem is the rooftop deck that overlooks all of Trastevere. Stay here!

A Dream!
This property is all that it claims to be. It is nestled on top of a hill in the quaint, picturesque Trastevere neighborhood of Rome-- close enough to the attractions but far enough removed to relax and soak it all in. Plus, the hotel has a gorgeous courtyard garden with a breath-taking view of the city. Additionally, the rooms are spacious with luxurious bathrooms and plush beds. And as if the accommodations weren't enough, the breakfast buffet is fit for a queen-- remarkable. Worth every euro;)

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Explore Via Garibaldi from top to bottom. It harbors many overlooked sights and attractions. Wear comfy shoes too; the hill and cobblestones can be challenging after a long day.

Listening to mocking birds at Rome
Perfect location for sightseeing and dining. Surprisingly quiet for an urban location. The converted baroque cloister offers a variety of rooms in terms of size and location towards courtyard/ garden/ street. For enjoying the special quality of this historic hotel taking a "superior" room may be advisable. Excellent breakfast buffet served in both hallway and lovely garden. Information about facilities could be improved. There is an expensive third party network in the room. The fact of free wifi in the hallway was not documented, and only mentioned at our departure. There was no closer description of facilties in the room.

pleasing in all respects
Interesting and restful building with attentive staff and good room with very comfortable beds and good quality bathroom. Some rooms have better outlooks but the roof terrace was a real bonus. Well-placed for exploring locally and access to most of Rome. Staff generally very helpful and attentive, very tolerant of our lack of Italian Breakfast overall very good - would have been excellent if the hot component had been kept hot Overall an excellent hotel and we would return

Great Breakfast
We loved this hotel for two reasons. First, the breakfast spread was great. They offer many more options than the typical "free" breakfast. Second, it was in a great location in Trastevere which is the quaint neighbor of Rome. There's also a great restaurant really close called Antico Pesa. The negatives were the price, the front desk staff was helpful but not the most friendly, and they have internet in the rooms but it's wired and not free (It's about 12 euros for 24 hours).
