Disappointment!
This hotel was a big disappointment. It had the feel of a convention center in the midwest, no charm at all. The location was terrible and very inconvenient. Be prepared to take a cab to and from the hotel to get anywhere, unless you want to walk a long way on very narrow sidewalks. The room was small and furnished like a dorm room, and the bed was soft and weird like a waterbed. The room was clean enough, but the halls were disgusting and dirty. Beware... if you are at all overweight, you might not fit in the shower. The staff was friendly and helpful though. They managed to accommodate us even though they had no record of our reservation (make sure to bring your confirmation information) and they took the time to help us try to figure out how to get around.

Nightlife tip:
Long walk from hotel
In Rome, the metro usually stops running at 11:00pm (23:00). But right now it stops running at 9:00pm (21:00) due to construction. Not that this matters much if you are staying at this hotel since it is not near a metro stop anyway. There are buses that run at night, but I recommend just taking cabs.

Good location when you know the bus line
Hotel rooms are in a several separate buildings, not in the same building featured. However, this is not something to complain for me. The room was OK in size and amenities, except the tiny shower room - not even a place to put a shampoo bottle. But you can enjoy nice breakfasts. Riding to the Vatican and the top 5 sightseeing places is easy and the bus stop is only a few minutes away. Study bus lines like 98, 881, 64, and 571 before coming to the hotel. #64 runs from the Stazione Termini (the arrival station from Fiumicino airport) to the Paola Sq which is the bus terminal of 98 and 881. If you have enough money, why bother to stay this far?

You get what you paid for
Can not complain too much when spending only $100/night (including free parking). Staff tried to help but not engaging. Location was OK with bus stop in front that took you to the Vatican. Used hop-on/hop-off tour to get around city. Room was small but not too much time spent inside. Breakfast was very good.

A nice place to stay!
While the hotel is a little bit off the beaten track it is very close to a bus stop which will connect you with the underground to get to all the interesting sites. The atmosphere in this hotel was very relaxing. The rooms could be bigger and maybe a little more soundproofed but on the whole were very comfortable and clean.I will definitely stay here again!

Lovely setting, beautiful grounds
Too far from train and airport. Cost 50.00 euro each way by taxi. That's $75.00 American each way!! Much too far to go by subway and bus with luggage. Even bus to Vatican was stressful and confusing on where to get off. Although the grounds are quiet, the street crossing in front of the hotel gate to walk to the bus stop is quite dangerous. Room was so small, no place to put even one suitcase. Next day we mentioned it at desk and they moved us to a nicer room on a third floor with no elevator. Better room, though. BTW the outdoor restaurant maître d' was condescending. Hotel desk clerks were helpful.

Short drive from hotel
Ristorante "Birbante" Ask at desk for dining. The clerk had a car from the restaurant pick us up and take us free of charge. Best part about the entire stay at this hotel.

good for confrences bad for tourist
the hotel isn't that close to the city. You have to take one of two buses to get to Vatican city, which is somewhat far from the main attractions. I had spent 6 wells studying abroad in Rome so I knew my way around the city and this hotel was just not convienent for sight seeing and such. The staff wasn't very helpful when we asked about the bus system. If you're there for fun try a different hotel closer to the pantheon because that is more center of all the sights in Rome. The lobby of the hotel is nice though and I could invision confrences being held there. If groups are stating there it would be best to have a group bus to take you around. Breakfast there is not included it cost ?10. The room was small but maintained nicely. I felt comfortable and safe. But once again, its hard to experience the city, the piazzas, museums, and sights. Because it is far a way.

Long walk from hotel
St. Peters and the Vatican museums are the closest attraction to the hotel. But you can't walk there you'd have to take a bus.

No heating
I was sick (colds). I needed heating in the room. I was told there was no heating. I asked for a portable heater. One was provided to my room. If there are 50 guests who need heating. Would the hotel have 50 portable heaters to provide the guests? Overall, I am not satisfied with the hotel. Sorry!
