I would definitely come back

The best of the hotel was the staff. The room was comfortable and very clean. The location was also good. The Fontana di Trevi is just behind the hotel. You can easily walk to a metro station.

Excellent choice and location

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel delle Nazioni. Located on Via Poli it is literally steps from the Trevi Fountain, which means that it is also within short walking distance of the Parthenon, Piazza Navonna and Campo Dei Fiori. This hotel is located on Via Poli, and the connecting streets (Via Corso and Via Tritone) have bus stops and kiosks very close by which is convenient. Our room was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast area is very nice with a good selection. Had some clothes laundered and they were ready later that day, pressed nicely. Should we return to Rome we will certainly choose Hotel delle Nazioni again.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If staying in Rome for more than three days it is advisable to get a Roma Pass. Free metro, tram and buses around the city and free admission to the first two locations you visit, the Colosseum and Forum/Palatine Hill being the best choice. There is also a separate entrance for people with a Roma Pass making the long lines a thing of the past.

A Fine Hotel

I had never been to Rome before. I wanted a hotel in the heart of the city, that wasn't crazy expensive, that had a comfortable room for me. and was not noisy. I found all this at the Delle Nazioni Hotel. The staff was always friendly and professional. The room was a generous size, very comfortable, and spotless. Most important to me, the room was situated away from the street (as they had promised in correspondence before my arrival) and in kind of a courtyard. This made all the difference. I never heard the traffic from the street or the sound of a tourist (the hotel is just a block or so from the Trevi Fountain). It was a quiet haven where I could return to at any hour of the day to rest, nap, relax (I was getting over my 9-hour jet lag while in Rome and this room was ideal for doing that). The breakfast offered was better than average, with a enough selection to satisfy. The dining area was more than adequate. I stayed at the hotel in the spring of 2013 and perhaps they have a new policy regarding the wi-fi: As with most hotels the wi-fi was free but at the Nazioni one must receive a paper with a code on it from the front desk. The very long code is only good for 4 hours (most hotels give codes good for a full day -- are there that many hackers in Rome trying to steal free internet access)?? I was corresponding often while in Rome and actively using my computer. The staff was always happy to hand me yet another slip of paper containing a new code -- I just wish I didn't have to ask for one so often. All in all, a fine hotel. I'm glad I stayed there and would do so again.

The museum containing the bones of the Capuchin monks is not far from the hotel.

few days in Rome

courteous staff and rooms good value for city centre hotel- a great choice for a break in Rome would certainly come back to this hotel-the location is fabulous and we had access to lots of restaurants and bars. Look at our insider tip to avoid a local restaurant tourist trap

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

AVOiD at all costs the Ristorante "La Tavernetta" on Via Sistina-we are quite savvy travellers but were ripped off at this restaurant on our first day when our defences were down-we went in for a beer and a snack and it cost 180 euros for four-the way they did it was friendly but outrageous-there are many reports of this happening at this restaurant-A TOURIST TRAP-maybe the owners of the excellent Hotel Delle Nazioni know how to help to stop this restaurant ripping off tourists-we will not return to Rome because of the way we were treated.

Perfect Location

We had a great time and this hotel was the perfect place to stay for all we had planned to do in Rome. The staff was more than accommodating. The breakfast each morning was more than one could ask for, with plenty of assorted foods. The location was very centralized to the sites we visited, and were all within easy walking distance. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, just recommend that you take time to look at the menu's and prices, and if you do, you'll find some good food for very reasonable prices. All around, we had a fantastic time, which we attribute to the great location of the hotel, the people, and the time of the year. Saying that, I definitely recommend going to Rome during the "off peak seasons", when not so many other tourist are in town.
