convenient but noisy
rome is expensive, and this hotel was at the low end, but it was clean and very close to the train station. big problem was noise and light pollution that flooded the room from outside.

Wonderful surprise!
Our expectations were tempered by a couple reviews we'd read, but we are usually happy with a no-frills hotel that's clean. We were VERY pleased with this hotel! It's walking distance from the train station, has a friendly staff, is in an area that we'd feel safe walking in at night (though we go to bed early!), is close to several delicious restaurants, and close to a Metro station for ease of seeing anything in Rome. It's a no-frills room that was clean and tidy and the price was shockingly low. GREAT VALUE! And the staff was friendly and helpful, too.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you enjoy sightseeing on your own and don't mind a little walking, this hotel is great. It's less than 1Km from the train station and only a couple blocks from a Metro station for access to all of the best of Rome's historical & cultural sites. The afternoon that we checked in, we walked from the hotel to the Trevi fountain and back with no problem. The next morning, after breakfast and before checkout, we took the Metro right to the Coliseum. Wonderful convenience and a great value.

Just be prepared for human error
The hotel is basic and nothing special although it is in a good location. Its about a 7 min walk from the Termini and there's plenty of food/cafe options close by. Its a bit of a walk but yes you can walk to the Trevi from here, to the Colosso, the Republic, etc. Not so sure about the Vatican though. I didn't feel 6 Euro was worth the breakfast so only ate once. The coffee came from a machine and breakfast was very basic. The elevator is not for the obese as its a tight squeeze for even a smaller person. I only used it twice (for luggage) and just took the stairs although it was 91 stair steps from my room to the sidewalk. It looks like you have to pay for a/c. There isn't any wi-fi so don't expect it. No issues until check out. I was held up at the front counter for over 30 mins and missed my train to the airport (and almost my flight) due to the front desk help wanting to charge me 299 E for my PRE-PAID room. I had to go BACK upstairs and retrieved the printed out Orbitz form indicating my room was PAID for (luckily I had it). He then tried to charge me for a 2nd breakfast which I did NOT eat (or even go to the area for). SO....be CAREFUL and make SURE you have proof if you prepaid and be on the watch if they try to stick you with extra breakfast. .

...as a side note, the restaurant Taverna across the street was very good. Mussels in the spicy tomato sauce was a winner.

Great location, close to central station (less than 5 minutes walk) rooms quite small and basic but comfortable. Easy to walk to most of the central historic sights and very close to Metro. Breakfast was good for this class of hotel. Would stay here again.

Room was clean and a good size,
Room was clean and a good size, bathroom was ok but the shower cubicle was tiny. Short walk to Termini and Rome transport connections. Laundromat and well priced eateries around. Breakfast was good and served for about 3 hours, good if you need a bit of a sleep in after a night out in Rome! Would stay again.
