Perfect location for Rome

The Hotel was superb in every way. You walk out of the hotel, & go just a few steps, and there is the WONDERFUL TREVI FOUNTAIN!! Most of the pedestrian walkways have no traffic, so you can walk to many sights of Rome, i.e. Spanish Steps, Piazza Navonna, & even St. Peter's. Breakfast was also very good-each a.m., you could have as many capuccinos as you wished, plus many choices of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, etc. & a cozy atmosphere.

No Room at the Inn - Honeymoon or not

My wife and I were all set to wrap up our fantastic European honeymoon in Rome for 3 nights and were looking forward to dropping our bags for the final time at the Boutique Hotel Trevi. After traveling all day from Venice we arrived at the hotel around 5PM only to have them tell us that there was a problem with the lock for our room and they couldn't get us in until tomorrow - translation - they overbooked! After talking about this with the front desk for a while it was clear that this was not going to change. They let us know not to worry, they were going to put us up in another one of their 4 star sister hotels. The other hotel was a dump on a major road, a far cry from the incredible tucked away location of the Trevi Fountain. It took them until 8 PM the following night to get us back into our original room with our luggage. We were never sincerely apologized to or ever offered any consideration for the huge inconvenience. Instead we were left hauling our luggage up and down in the sister hotel multiple times, since they did not have a bellhop, as they tried to coordinate getting us back to the room that we originally paid for. Instead of focusing on the beauty of Rome we were left worrying about getting our luggage and ourselves back to the little hotel next to the Tevi Fountain where we envisioned spending the final leg of our honeymoon. The Boutique Hotel Trevi robbed us of our first 36 hours in Rome . You can never truly ruin a trip to Rome especially on your honeymoon, but they certainly dampered it. I will never stay at this hotel again and I will never stay at any hotel in the Leonardi Hotel chain.

Boutique Trevi Hotel Rome

This hotel is rated at 4 stars (God knows by whom or how), but by any standards probably 1 to 2 stars max. The room I had was small, bed was like a bad hostel bed, very small and uncomfortable (forget about a decent pillow or quilt). I was there this Dec 2010, it was extremely cold. There is supposedly a temprature control in the room, but you can't control it, it's controlled centrally. I was absolutely freezing in the room for two nights, so was everyone else I heard at breakfast. The location is quite good however. If you're looking for a very basic hotel is probably fine, but you'll be in for a huge disappointment if you expect anything more.

Great Location

My husband and I drove from Sorrento to Rome on a Sunday. I had emailed the hotel prior to leaving for Italy to inquire about parking and our arrival date. They told me they do not have parking but there is a parking garage around the corner. They failed to mention the garage was closed on Sunday's and you can't park on the street without an hourly ticket!! DO NOT bring a car to Rome!! We drove for an hour and ended up having to get another hotel room for the night that had a parking spot in front of it. The next day we were able to return our car(because the car rental place was closed on Sunday's as well) and go to Boutique Hotel Trevi. The room was small (most rooms are) but clean. The shower was an interesting take on an American shower stall! It was a small platform with a drain and shower head no doors just a curtain to wrap around you, but there was nothing to keep the water from getting all over the bathroom floor. I'm not sure if all the showers are like this, just be aware!! The hotel is in a great location.

Overbooked, but decent alternative

Hotel had overbooked and moved me to another property, less well-located, between Via Veneto and Termini. I had prepaid through [...] and wasn't happy, especially with their lame excuses about customers who "wouldn't leave." However the place they put me, Hotel Villa Pinciana, was quite delightful and the room lovely, large, quiet and elegant. Beautiful terrace for drinks, small gym and sauna. Good breakfast and smooth service. Just out-of-the-way for where I needed to be. 10-min walk to Barberini metro stop. My ratings refer to the Pinciana.

Good few days in rome

The hotel was great. It was in a great location with many sights and piazzas in walking distance. The Trevi fountain was literally right down the street. The room was nice and clean. The only problem I had was they had over booked my room the first night. But they did upgrade my room, and paid for transportation to another hotel that was still in a good location. The staff was generally nice and helpful. As long as they didnt overbook again i would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel/Location

Great location and hotel in general. Breakfast had lots of variety and staff very helpful. It was very quiet and comfortable. The room was small, but I expect that with many European hotels for singles. Totally modernized. I would stay here again in an instant.

Lovely Hotel!!!!

I made this reservation a day before I left, so was quite unsure what I was getting myself into, being that it was my first time to Rome, but I have to say it was WONDERFUL! Absolutely amazing location, very friendly and helpful english speaking staff. Beautiful rooms, that were clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, too. I can honestly say that I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family. Enjoy your trip!

For those who like to be in the centre of life

Great location right in the centre of Rome. 30 seconds from Trevi fountain! Its also easy to reach the most famous touristic places by walking (Campidoglio, Pantheon, Spanish Steps etc).  The staff is very helpful and friendly. Room was small but it's usual for Europe the rest was pretty comfortable. I will suggest to use Jacuzzi after a long day on feet. Very relaxing.  The breakfasts are the same every day (they don't have real kitchen so no hot dishes) cheese, hamon,  tomatoes, pastry and of course Coffee!
