Location, location, location!

The location was excellent. Easy access to Metro to Colosseum, Vatican, etc. (Definitely get the Roma Pass for transportation and museum/site entrance.) It's an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. However, there will be a hill to climb the last block on your return to the hotel. Be sure to visit the museum across the street at the Palazzo Barberini. Beautiful and uncrowded (2 Caravaggios!) Hotel room was very comfortable with AC (necessary already mid May). Bathroom was large and modern. The absolute best part of the day was breakfast: looking out over the city (including St Peter's!) sipping coffee with steamed milk!!

Don't get lost when you arrive via the Metro. Exit Via Barberini (not Piazza Barberini) and turn left (looking at sign for Pepy's Bar)at Via della Quattro Fontane which takes you up a hill. Via Rasella is the second street on your right. You will see the hotel on that corner.

Good Location, Attentive Staff

Just returned from a five day trip in Rome where I stayed at the Hotel Barberini. As it was my first time in Rome, the location (close to everything, but relatively quiet neighborhood) was perfect. I had a change of plans after making the reservation which required me to add another guest to the room. I called the desk staff prior to my trip and was happy to find the staff very friendly and helpful. They even immediately sent an email confirming the conversation. Upon arrival, I discovered that the mattress in my room had a small problem. After reporting the problem, the mattress was replaced immediately. As I had read on other reviews, the rooms are quite small, but otherwise comfortable, very clean, and well decorated.

Bon rapport performance / prix
