Great location and nice modern rooms, but the staff at the front desk were very cold and rude. I stayed for 3 nights , but the room was cleaned only once

The hotel was in a good location
The hotel was in a good location close to Termini. The room was impressive, very modern and a good size. The breakfast buffet was good. I would recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel and very convenient
Nice Hotel and very convenient for main sites. The breakfast was adequate. The rooms were spacious but need better insulation from the outside as the traffic noise was quite noticeable. Ideal for what we wanted.

The WiFi situation was messy,
The WiFi situation was messy, and the food not terrific. We had an early start and alough breakfast officially started at 600am we weren't able to get hot food until 7 , and so missed out. Little things make the difference.

If I'm ever lucky enough to stay
If I'm ever lucky enough to stay in Rome again, it will be at the Universo. From the minute we arrived, the staff could not have been more helpful, polite or informative. The room was large and clean - the bathroom was amazing! This is the sort of hotel you wish you could pack into your suitcase and take with you wherever you go.

Great location in terms of Termini
Great location in terms of Termini and Colosseum. Also thought the hotel was lovely for the price. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

Our first room, located on the
Our first room, located on the 4th floor smelled of sewerage, the carpet was filthy, the shower flooded, and the air-conditioning was frigid and not adjustable (even though the thermostat seemed to allow adjustment). When we complained we were promptly granted a room change. The second, while cleaner, was cramped (as was the first), had inadequate storage (no night tables, like the first), had one armoire type closet. for 2 people without any drawers, a shower that was difficult to use without flooding, air-conditioning that could not be adjusted (even though the room thermostat seemed to allow adjustment, a fact that was later confirmed with hotel staff). While the location, near the Termini is excellent for touring using busses and the metro, and the included breakfast and price were excellent,I would not use this hotel again.

Absolutely terrible. The whole
Absolutely terrible. The whole double room was exactly the size of a standard double bed. No where to walk around bed or put luggage!

Great Hotel 2mins from Termini.
Great Hotel 2mins from Termini. Buffet Breakfast excellent except for probably the worst coffee encountered in Rome, no matter this was my second stay in Universo and coffee wouldn't put me off staying again, especially on 5th floor with balcony. Reception staff friendly and helpful with a sense of Humour. Stay here and enjoy yourself.
