Great location for touring Rome
Great location. Small rooms, but comfortable and all we needed. Beds were excellent. Staff helpful. I liked the safe in the room; perfect to store the laptop for the day. Remember the "bar" in the room is not free. Would reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Big rooms!
We had spent a week in Tuscany and wanted to see Rome on the way home. Perfect location for going to all the attractions, close to the train station , close to Hop on Hopoff bus lines. Associates were friendly and helpful. Rooms were much larger than I had expected from everone telling me how small rooms are in Europe. Several good restuarants close by and found an open market 3 bloicks away with excellent prices. Overall a very good stay[...]

Great Hotel in Rome
My wife and I had a great time while staying at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything from how to get to places or where to go to eat. We were even upgraded to a larger room. Great location within walking distance of the train station. Breakfast was pretty good but nothing fantastic.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Metro subway system is an inexpensive way to get around. We felt very safe using it. For one Euro you can get to just about anywhere and is far less expensive than taking a cab.

Clean, friendly and good for the price!
Great location if you come by train, for walking to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Colosseum etc.. The Vatican is a little further, Taxi recomended, or one way taxi and one way walking.

You get What You pay For....
This hotel is quite practical for arriving by train at the central station in Rome, the Termini. This is an advantage, because a taxi in from the airport will cost you in excess of euro 70.00 and will take forever. So you pay 11.00 by train, and arrive much quicker, and about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Very practical. The rooms are small, but immaculate, modern, and nicely finished. great bathrooms. My only gripe would be that the sound insulation between rooms is not perfect, but it never is. The staff are reasonably helpful and friendly. The breakfast is ok, the standard fare, but they failed miserably with cold scrambled eggs every morning. Their heating trays just don't work. But for the off-season price, who's complaining?..This is a great hotel at the price for a brief stay in Rome.

good value for the price
The proximity to the Termini station makes the deflated dollar less painful if you are willing to learn the metro and bus systems. Short walk to station and lots of restaurants within short walk. Some with tourist menus.. Best buys are at the cafeterias which are everywhere. Look for advertised NO seating fee or expect to pay Don't miss the S. Maria Maggiore basilica just down the street. Stop and relax at a sidewalk cafe for a cappucino or glass of wine but better street scenes out of the hotel neighborhood. The staff was willing to help with area referrals but turns a deaf ear to complaints. The rooms are very small and the AC was off and could not be turned on.. We sucked it up due to 65 degree weather and opened the window but lots of street noise disturbed rest. good beds. Nice bathroom with bidet.Very cleanThe breakfast was better than expected with eggs pastry and cereals. Charged 3euros for small pitcher of ice. Probably does not deserve the 4 star but we would return.[...]

Not Applicable
Use the metro system to get to most tourist sites for 4eu can get a full day pass or pay 1eu for a 75 minute pass. Bus travel is a little harder to figure out but worth the savings to give it a try. We were able to use TrenItalia to go to Tivoli which was a nice break from the city. NOT very helpful staff though.

very beautiful place to stay
This is a very beautiful hotel that is walking distance to termini central. All of the hotels we have stayed at have really firm matresses! Maybe Europeans like it that way. Otherwise, a great place to stay.
