The hotel is very popular for its beauty and sport centres, which offer 4 squash courts and Turkish baths. This property, ideal for business clients, can be also recommended for those who are looking for peace and relaxation. The swimming pool is available only from 1 June up to 15 September. Valet parking is also available at an extra cost. 1109 ADO This is a traditional 6-story white building, well in keeping with the surrounding architecture. This hotel is located in Casalpalocco, a residential area situated in the south part of Rome, outside the ring road. It is situated in an oasis of peace, surrounded by parks, nearby to the Roman Lido and few minutes away from the ring road. Hence, its location is an excellent starting point for making daily excursions to the eternal city. It is close to the archaeological area of Ostia Antica, as well.

Comfort in quiet Rome

The Aris Garden Hotel was very comforable, the room was a good size, air conditioning, desk, sattelite TV and internet in the room (for a fee). We enjoyed our stay here. It is about a 20 minute trip by bus to the metro station and then 5 minutes by metro into Rome's sight seeing, but the hotel is located in a very nice, clean and quiet neighborhood. Bus stop is right around the corner, very convenient. There is a small strip of shops next to the hotel, restaurants and convenience type stores. The beds were very comfortable, they offer room service for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was great, a good mix of European and American style breakfast foods. Swimming pool available and they offer same day laundry service. The staff was helpful and courteous, all fluent English speakers, including the restaurant staff. I highly recommend this hotel for your visit in Rome.

Bus tickets available in the tobacco shop next to hotel, pizzeria next door is also very good. Small cafe next door stays open late, has sandwiches, ice cream, water, sodas, etc etc.

Long way from Rome airport

The Aris Garden Hotel was fine itself. The location was a 45 euro taxi ride from the airport. I reserved it for an easy overnight-stay after landing at the Rome airport late in the afternoon, before beginning my Italy vacation the next day. The taxi ride to the hotel (the only transportation there) cost 45 euros - a really unexpected expense. The staff at the front desk were helpful, and showed us how and where to get the bus in the morning and then take the subway to the Rome Termini (train terminal) to catch our train to Florence. This was almost free (one euro) for the bus and the subway and quite easy. More good news: there was a hot (with eggs and bacon) breakfast buffet, which got us started well for the rest of the day. This hotel would work (by bus and subway) for going in and out of Rome for sightseeing if you didn't want to stay in Rome itself.
