Alpi Hotel Rome

Although hotels near railway stations are often not the best, the Alpi is an exception. It is very well located on a quiet street near Termini, about five minutes' walk. The room was spotlessly clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was very generous. The room was a good size, and there was free WiFi. My only complaints are that the coffee was the worst I have ever tasted in my life, and the bed was not comfortable -- fortunately all I was trying to do in it was sleep, but even that was not easy. On balance though I would really recommend this hotel.

We only stayed at this hotel 1 night after traveling back from Florence in order to catch our international flight from Rome the next day. The front desk personnel were very friendly and assisted us to our room with our luggage. We did not take advantage of anything else the hotel offered, except for a light breakfast to go in the morning due to our early flight. The location of the hotel is great for catching any trains out of the Rome Terminal. We also were able to see many of the famous sights of Rome by walking, so the location was good for that as well. The rooms themselves are just big enough for a bed and small desk; which is all we needed. If you are expecting spacious rooms, I doubt you will find them in any hotel in Rome. Finally, know that you will have to pay an additional $6 Euro city/hotel tax upon checkout.

Wir waren 1 Woche in Rom zur Zeit der Papstwahl und des Rommarathon. Das Hotel war sehr gut gebucht, trotzdem war das Hotel immer sauber und das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Frühstücksraum ist zwar ohne Fenster etwas düster, das Buffet erfüllt aber sehr viele Wünsche, auch ein feines Cappuccino.

Das Hotel Alpi liegt nahe dem zentralen Bahnhof Termini, wo die Busse vom Flughafen direkt zum/vom Flughafen fahren. Auch zu Fuß erreicht man das Kolosseum zügigen Schrittes innerhalb von ca 15 Minuten und von dort alle angrenzenden Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Zimmer sind sehr neu und modern gestaltet,an einigen Punkten wird Aussehen der Funktionalität vorgezogen. Das Fühstück bietet eine gute Auswahl, nur der Service könnte etwas freundlicher sein. Fazit: Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel zum Weiterempfehlen :)

Début février 2013: 4 nuits pour 3 jours pleins à Rome: cadeau pour les 18 ans de ma filleule! Magnifique temps partagé et la proximité de la gare Termini, donc des bus et du metro ont grandement simplifié les déplacements et leur oganisation.
