Walk to Galleria Borghese and parks from this quiet hotel
Built in 1978, the décor known to the era lives on at Hotel Albani Roma, situated on the top corner of Villa Borghese. Located in a quiet residential area, the white marble and green carpeted lobby mimic the grounds of neighboring parks. Rooms are equally bright with bold floral curtains and characteristic orange upholstery that elicit smiles, not cringes. The hotel is clean and in a good area. It is starting to look tired but the rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are large. It is less than two blocks away from a large artery. A great value for the money.

Use the buses for transportation as much as possible. They are very cheap and reliable....and an easy walking distance from the hotel.

Exceeded expectations
The hotel, while situated in a quiet area (perfect for the purpose of my visit), was quite accessible to restaurants and shops. The front desk staff was at times either quite terse or exceptionally accommodating depending on the employee...balancing out to a better than average. Maid service was impeccable as was morning coffee service in the restaurant. The temperature comfort in the ground floor meeting room was, unfortunately, less than adequate - however, overall, I would not hesitate to stay again.

It Was Nice but
We were there 10/22/10 to 10/25/10. It's a nice, comfortable hotel. Most of the front desk clerks were fairly brusque, but there was one very friendly young woman. We walked everywhere in Rome from there. It's about 1 1/2 miles to the train station and took us 30 minutes. Took about 45 minutes to most of the sights. There are other hotels that are just as nice, if not better. We stayed at the Hotel Pinciana near the Borghese Gardens our last night in Rome and liked it a lot better. Very friendly people with just as nice a room, and it was less money.

Sorry, I don't have any specific dining recommendations. We just wandered and looked at menus. Most restaurants serve pretty much the same thing: pizza and pasta and salad, and we found them all to be fairly good, especially the places that have wood burning, brick ovens.

Great service with a view
A little out of the way, but in a nice neighborhood. We saw all the sights and walked a great deal. The map the hotel provided was useful. A laundry room with washers and dryers would be nice. The room was kept very clean and fresh towels and made-up beds were very nice. The balcony was a very thoughtful addition.

Great hotel and service
I was upgraded to a queen bed and a room with 2 balconies. It was wonderful!!! The staff was very helpful with the bus routes to take out to the Olympic stadium for the Roma Soccer Match. They were always pleasent, even after the earthquake:) The only thing I didn't like were the HARD beds!!!

Отель очень хороший, в номерах очень чисто, обслуживание замечательное, персонал внимателен. Расположение: до площади Венеции пешком 20 мин. Есть автобусы, однако, ходят раз в 15-20 минут. В целом соответствует всему заявленному на сайте.
