Welcome to the new charming Town House of Rome, Residence AT, open in 2007, located right in the heart of the historical center of the city, in Piazza Barberini, at only few steps from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Palazzo Barberini and the most elegant shopping streets of the Eternal City. The Residencet AT has 3 floors and since the building is from the 17th century there is no elevator. Most of the rooms faces the magnificent Tritone Fountain, symbol of Piazza Barberini. This fountain, a work by Bernini (1642), is located in the center of the square; the composition, four dolphins which support two valves on which is seated a triton who blows water through a shell held up in his hands, is an happy example of Roman Baroque. The various amenities provided are concierge, reception and room service.
Please note that for all arrivals starting 1st of January 2011 a city fee will be applied: 2 Euro per person per day. This fee is not included in the hotel rate and it's to be paid directly at the hotel.

Two 70+ year old ladies had to struggle cruise luggage up the 94 steps that lead to this establishment. No help coming or going. Staff could not help finding any attractions in the area. Room was clean, but amenties including a lobby were totally
absent. Don't stay here unless you are young and fit and willing to scale those 94 steps everytime you go out!

Great price, central location
Super location to easily visit every attraction in Rome either on foot or the Metro (we walked everywhere). Room was clean, the bed comfortable (with big pillows) and the bathroom clean and good sized. Breakfast was fine and if you need more
coffee, just leave the building and get another cup right next door or across the street. Staff was friendly and always there. Climbing the stairs was a bit of a drag, but really you only need to do it once or twice a day because you are not in Rome to visit your room! The A/C was silent and worked great. Piazza Barberini is a very busy intersection for vehicles and not the most attractive Piazza, but it is an easy crossroads to the rest of touristic Rome.

hotel simple
