It's a very nice and clean hotel
It's a very nice and clean hotel to stay, good facility and close to almost all insterest sights. But the only problem is too difficult to park your car, almost impossible. So you have to use the parking service provided by the hotel, cost 15 euro per day... The rest are fine.

Exceeded expectations
Excellent location, helpful staff, modern and very clean rooms. I was completely surprised for the price. Breakfast (included) was great - much better than your typical continental spread. This place is an absolute steal. I don't usually write reviews so that should tell you something.

nice hotel, need better customer service
The hotel is located very close to bus routes, restaurants & shopping which was a plus. You can take the public bus to the nearest beach, Mondello, it only takes 10-15 minutes & the beach is GORGEOUS! If you have the time you should go to Taormina, it's a 3 hour drive east of Palermo. Taormina was the best part of my trip. The Mercure Hotel is pretty, very modern & nicely done. Maybe it is because I come from a hospitality industry background which makes me expect a certain level of customer service, but I did NOT receive it at this hotel. The front desk agents acted as if they were getting annoyed with me for asking the simplest of questions throughout my stay.... like, can I please have 2 room keys? The bartender at Mercure in the lobby was a very nice guy though (I think his name was [...] or something like that), despite the front desk snobs. The rooms are nice & our bathroom was pretty big. Overall it was okay, nothing outstanding.

The restaurant in the hotel is only open for the breakfast buffet in the morning. Otherwise it is closed & the in-room dining menu is very limited so be prepared to get food elsewhere.

Qualité de l'accueil et du service
Le personnel est très attentionné, très serviable et ce qui est formidable très professionnel. Des mentions particulières pour Antonio le barman de l'Hôtel et à l'équipe du Petit Déjeuner qui ont nous ont permis de profiter de ces moments très particuliers qui démarrent ou clôturent la journée. Prestations et prix conformes à ce qui était prévu! La localisation correspondait parfaitement à nos besoins. Un seul regret qu'il n'y aie pas de restauration prévue ce qui, avec la qualité de la prestation Hôtelière aurait rendu ce séjour parfait.

A favor: El hotel es céntrico
A favor: El hotel es céntrico y económico y el desayuno es bueno y abundante. En contra: La habitación es muy pequeña y está un poco descuidada. Pero lo peor de todo es que tiene ducha veneciana y el baño se inunda cada vez que te duchas.
