The hotel was great, the location perfect, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I could have is the room was too warm. Had to sleep with the window open. I would hate to see what it would be like in the Summer. Hope the air conditioning works better in the Summer. Within walking distance to great shopping and sights.

Splendid hotel in the grand style
We came to Palermo to see the Norman architecture and the beautiful interiors. Even better than we had anticipated. Traveling in February meant virtually no tourists and no queuing. We had the Palatine Chapel entirely to ourselves at one point. And a splendid place to practice my Italian: no one much speaks English.The Grand Hotel is in a good location and only about 4 blocks from the Teatro Politeama, where the airport bus has a drop-off and pick-up point. [...] Breakfast is included and very adequate - continental buffet-style with a bacon, egg and sausage option

Nice hotel in downtown Palermo
A nicely remodeled and updated hotel in the historic part of downtown Palermo. The staff has basic abilities with English but their English doesn't hold up so well when you start making more complex requests like trying to make travel arrangements (as is frequently the case with hotels in Sicily). Overall a great experience. The Palermo airport is fairly far from the town center and the hotel. The easiest and cheapest way to get to the hotel is to take the bus or train from the airport to the town center and take a taxi to the hotel.

Bon séjour
Une critique d'importance: Le wifi est payant et peu accessible. Le restaurant n'est jamais ouvert sauf pour la petit-déjeuner. Les restaurants autour ne sont pas excellents. Sinon l'emplacement est bon et le confort excellent. Si le personnel souriait un peu plus ce serait parfait. Parking proposé au prix de 21 euro la nuit.

12月31日は朝５時までシルベスターのダンス音楽がホテル中に鳴り響き睡眠不足でした。朝食は予想以下でとても豪華とは言えません。宿泊部屋は隣の話し声がよく聞こえたのでリラックスできたとは言いがたい。レセプションの人たちも高飛車でとても親切とは言えませんでしたが、イタリア語でこちらから話しかけるとずいぶんましになりました。日本人の宿泊客はかなり多かったです。
