Hotel was fine ... just don't leave it.
The hotel is located right across the street from the train station ... which is very convenient, but the area is questionable, to say the least ! The hotel itself is clean, the room spacious, but a little dated and the pillows are awful ! There's a little bar area on the first floor. The man at the reception desks calls for the bartender, who arrives, fills your drink order, then leaves. The process is repeated each time you want another drink. There were sites to see in this city,some a short walk from the hotel, but the area around the hotel felt pretty dicey. We felt very uncomfortable walking around, not just the hotel area, but throughout the city. The only place in Italy where we felt that way.

The top floor rooms are huge,
The top floor rooms are huge, and the hotel has good facilities and heritage furnishings in the public areas. The best thing about it is its location directly across from the main railway station. The lifts can be a little slow.

great location
The Hotel Grand Italia was very satisfactory for our stay. It is right across the street from the train station to take a train directly into Venice. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and had all the ammenities we needed. They do not have a restaurant in the hotel but were able to recommend one to us. The front desk staff was rather indifferent and somewhat cold. One neat feature...the room key was needed to operate the electricity in the room. Energy saving! The neighborhood around the hotel and train station could be seedy, especially late at night, but noone ever bothered with us. I would recommend the hotel as convenient to Venice, clean and reasonably priced.

Avara, siisti hotelli. Isot huoneet. Mutta ilmastointi ei pelaa ja huoneisiin ( huoneeseen ) tulee meteliä ulkoa sekä joistakin ilmastointikoneista niin että kesällä nukkuminen erittäin huonoa. Aseman alue levotonta.

Das Hotel liegt in der Bahnhofsgegend,
Das Hotel liegt in der Bahnhofsgegend, die derzeit speziell Nachts nicht besonders anziehend ist. Das Hotel selbst ist ein wunderschöner Altbau, aus einer Zeit, als die Gegend noch wesentlich mondäner war. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundliche und hilfsbereit. Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut. Das 3-Bettzimmer war sehr großzügig und modern eingerichtet. Die Lage zur den Sehenswürdigkeiten ist perfekt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in diesem Hotel absteigen.

Zimmer war sauber, leider etwas
Zimmer war sauber, leider etwas klein. Das Parken ist ein Problem und die Gegend dem Bahnhofsumfeld entsprechend. Das Frühstück war ok, aber wenn etwas leer war , wurde es nicht automatisch wieder aufgefüllt. z.B. Schoko Croissant um 8:00 Uhr aus, es gab keine mehr. Standard Zimmer ist nur zu empfehlen für jemanden der wirklich nur schlafen will. Zimmer waren sauber !
