Hotel Neapolis is a three stars hotel situated in the heart of the historical centre of Naples, at walking distance from the city's most ancient and evocative monuments. Furthermore, the hotel is connected with other places of great interest by metro, bus, funicular, whose stops are few metres distant from the hotel. For this reason, the Neapolis is the ideal residence for who wants to get to know Naples as a city of art and culture. The hotel has 24 rooms (single and double), some of which are used as triple and family rooms. Every room is equipped with bath, independent adjustable air-conditioning system with remote control, TV SAT independent self-adjusting broadcasting, fridge-bar, PC with flat screen and free internet connection, direct dial telephone. The hotel has moreover comfortable and pleasant rooms for breakfast, TV and restaurant. Much care is turned to the comfort of the guests. The tourist assistance is constant. In the small hall of the hotel you can get all the information that you need: routes for visiting the town, tours in the surroundings of Naples (Pompei, Vesuvius, Pozzuoli, Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Ischia etc.) The restaurant-pizzeria of the Hotel The Griphon's Inn offers typical Neapolitan cooking made up of fresh fish. The breakfast buffet is rich and assorted with products as ham, eggs, cheese, yogurt, fruits and Neapolitan cakes (sfogliatella, bab, pastiera, etc) In every room there is a computer with a 24 hours free Internet connection: it is easy to check e-mail, send messages, book trains and flights, etc. By TV SAT it is possible to watch all the worldwide programmes and also documentaries about Naples on our Neapolis channel. Bathrooms are equipped with hair dryer, soaps, etc.

At the beginning of Via dei Tribunali, best known as the Decumano Maggiore (Major Decuman), the most vital street in the ancient part of the city. The property is located right in the heart of Naples, between the very central Piazza Dante (150 metres from the Hotel) and Via Duomo. This extremely favourable position makes it possible to very easily reach Hotel Neapolis by any means of transportation used to arrive in Naples. The Hotel is just 1.5 km away from the train station and the motorway access, 2 km from the airport and just 1 km from the port.

This hotel is located in the heart

This hotel is located in the heart of the old town, right next to a thousand year old campanile and a historic church. The hotel occupies the third and higher floors of its building and access is by elevator artfully concealed in a nondescript yard, but any of the locals will direct you. Reception are pleasant and obliging with passable English. The rooms are tiny, as is common for budget hotels in Italy, and scrupulously clean. Beds are comfortable and air-conditioning, although noisy, is effective. The internet connection, when it is working, I found utterly bewildering so I class it as hopeless. An international phone call could not be completed (for which I blame Neapolitan telecoms rather than the hotel). To compensate for its relative separation from things, Hotel Neapolis provides airport and railway station connections by minibus at reasonable rates. Breakfast is excellent and varied. Overall assessment for a budget hotel: pretty reasonable.
