Europa Grand Hotel & Restaurant Naples

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the main train station -- side entrance literally across the street from the hotel. The location downside stems from the people that frequent the neighborhood. While we never felt in serious jeopardy, walking in the area at night would not be recommended. The desk clerks were generally OK, but not particularly helpful in solving in-room internet issues (it didn't work) or recommending nearby eating places (they always pushed the hotel restaurant, despite its rather limited choices) . Breakfast offerings were above average and included with the room. Internet was available in the lobby -- either on the hotel computer or on our own laptop. Other hotel staff were quite helpful.

Goto Mt Vesuvius early..then come back and do Pompeii.

The hotel is close to the Napoli Centrale station, which is why we stayed there. The neighborhood is not quite safe, however. They also close/lock the hotel front doors at night, although someone is there to open the doors for you (we had arrived after midnight due to the bus breaking down in the middle of Naples). Our entire family (4 adults) stayed in the family room with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. First day when we arrived, a nice clean room awaited us with four towels of each kind. The size of the room and the shower was decent. The next two days, we only received two towels. They knew it was a family room with four adults staying for 3 nights. The tip we left was good, too, so I don't know what the problem was. The free breakfast offered each morning wasn't spectacular, but alright. Mediocre cereal, bread w/ jam, coffee and fruit juice. They also offer dinner in the same basement area with alright food. We had asked for a morning phone call at 5am the day we were leaving. We NEVER received a phone call. While checking out, they were charging me again for the 3 nights stay despite the fact that I had already paid through Orbitz. I showed them the receipt from Orbitz, yet the front desk wasted 30 minutes of our time calling different people to straighten things out. The bill that the front desk showed me was an email they received from Orbitz indicating that the rooms were PREPAID. Unfortunately not everyone can read English? Or maybe taking advantage of poor tourists by double charging? Funny note though, the email they showed me which was from Orbitz specifically indicated to NOT disclose their fees to the customer. I just found it hilarious that the hotel not only disclosed the email to me, but even made a copy for me. If you are looking for a hotel purely based on location, this place is ok. But watch out for the neighborhood, lack of morning phone call and possible double charging.

シングルだったので、部屋は多少狭かったが、必要な設備は整っており、清潔で使いやすかった。シャワーの湯もすぐ熱い湯が出、油量も十分。朝食はカフェテリア方式で、内容もこの価格を考えれば上々。フロントの対応も良い。場所は中央駅から数十メートルで近く、鉄道利用で近郊に出かけるのも便利。次回も利用したいと思う。

Hotel confortable et bien placé. 5min à pied de la gare métro pr joindre le superbe musée archeologique ds 2min. Il y a un pking privé (20Euros/nuit) en face. Un bon petit déj et personnel extremement gentil.
