Great stay at the Pasteur
We went to the Pasteur with our two kids (ages 10-12). We were really glad we stayed there. The rooms were spartan, but great-- there was a small room for my wife and me, and within the same room a seperate room for the kids. There was a nice breakfast in the morning, and it was a couple blocks from a busy (but nice) section of Milan. The staff was really helpful about where to go and eat. The one full day we were there, the subway was on strike so we walked to the Duma-- it was a long but doable walk. Normally, it is only a couple blocks from a subway. We really enjoyed our experience there.

Not what is was advertised to be!
The hotel was not in a very safe feeling area. When we arrived we traveled by Taxi because on this travel day trains and buses were on strike! We traveled by taxi and as we neared the hotel we said to each other I really hope this is not where our hotel is located. As we neared the area it looked as if there had been some type of riot across the street from the hotel trash and garbage thrown everywhere. When we got to the hotel we were very disappointed - the condition of the room was awful, everything looked dirty - my mom refused to use the shower in the bath. The beds were basically cots and the pillows were bricks. The bellboy really had bad BO. The train station is about a 30 minute walk through some rough areas of the city. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked this hotel because in Amenities they had Airport Shuttle. We had an early morning flight and it would be helpful. When we got there the service was charged 75 euros/person. Close to the Central Train Station they had bus 7.50 euros/person but it is a 30 minutes walk with luggage.

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The room was air conditioned, just remember to check for the breaker upon entering your room (each room has it's own breaker for the air conditioning located inside the rooms to the side of the door). The only reason I mention this is that I had to reset the breaker upon entering, had no problems with AC after resetting it. The rooms do need to be updated, they are very old. If you can get past staying in an outdated room, I highly recommend this hotel. Literally, all the staff was courteous and helpful, especially the night clerk and the afternoon/evening bartender.

Short walk from hotel
The metro is literally a block away from the hotel. The metro system is inexpensive and a fantastic way to get around the city. The metro is safe and clean (unlike other cities).

Good location, 2 minutes to the nearest metro station. Breakfast was quite OK. 3 persons suite was great with 2 separate bedrooms.

Un buon compromesso fra prezzo
Un buon compromesso fra prezzo e vicinanza al centro cittadino. Struttura un pò vecchio stile con moquette sia sul pavimento che sulle pareti (non aspettatevi un hotel all'ultimo grido), stanza al settimo piano molto ampia (stanza letto, salottino, bagno con finestra), colazione abbondante e con prodotti freschi (cornetti, brioche, frutta ecc). Metropolitana davvero vicina che consente di raggiungere agevolmente tutte le zone della città.
