NH Touring Milano

Enjoyed a great stay at the NH Milano Touring hotel. Rooms are spacious and include several amenities you’d expect. I loved the complimentary tea/coffee tray. The bathrooms are lovely, no beating the walk-in rainshower! Breakfast is a hot buffet version so you can treat yourself to a good wholesome meal to start the day, though I’m more of a fruit person, thus was delighted to find a large variety of the same, including deliciously sweet pineapple! The real winner for this hotel is its location. As I was here for a short city break with my wife and 3 year old daughter, I particularly appreciated the proximity to the city centre, we leisurely strolled to the Duomo in approx. 15 minutes one day, the next we used the tram, which stops just outside the hotel. This is a great experience, the trolleycars date back to the post war years, and the n°1 line whisks you into the city centre in no time. Useful hint: you need to buy your tickets prior to boarding, you can’t purchase on the spot. If you fancy modernity, you’ve got a 3rd option, the airconditioned underground. Republicca station is at the hotel’s doorstep and a mere 2 stops from the Duomo and historical city centre and main shopping districts. Likewise, you won’t lack dining options, as the Brera district is within comfortable walking distance, this area is bulging with restaurants and we were lucky each day. The highlight when walking back to the hotel, was stopping for an Italian ice cream at the gelateria just round the corner from the hotel, called Bianco Latte, don’t miss it!
