One night in Milan
Stayed overnight before flying out of Italy. Close to Central train station (walking distance). Adequate hotel - had stayed at the Marconi in Venice before. Staff was very helpful in arranging taxi transfer to Linate airport. Travelers should take note that all air conditioning is turned off in Milan on October 1st and the heat is turned on even thought the outside temperature might be 75 degrees. Great breakfast - be sure to include in your booking. Few places to eat close to the hotel for dinner. Long walk to the Duomo.

Clean, comfy accommodations near Milan Central Station
We didn't intend on spending much time in Milan--just had a flight out of Linate in the early a.m. and wanted accommodations near the train station. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and everything (and I mean everything) in the area of this hotel was closed since it was a business district. Central Milan (where the Duomo and other famous sites and shopping are located) was just a few metro stops away. The reception staff were friendly and spoke excellent english. The room temperature was cool on a very hot day. There was also free wi-fi. Overall, the place was nice for one night but I would've probably preferred a spot even closer to the train station since our luggage was hefty and we couldn't bring ourselves to carry it all on foot the morning of our flight.

Short walk from hotel
There's a coach-type bus to any of the local airports that you can easily catch at the Milan central train station (in walking distance from this hotel). It only cost 5 Euro. We needed the bus to Linate and they ran every 30 minutes and it took just 25 minutes to get to the airport from the station.

Very clean and spacious compared
Very clean and spacious compared to other hotels we stayed at in Europe. The bathroom was good and had a great shower. The bread rolls at breakfast were average but not a big deal. The hotel is close to the main train station and about 20 - 25 minute walk into the city centre (Duomo). It wasn't hard. It depends where you want to stay. Really good hotel. Would stay there again. And would recommend it.

Maconi Hotel
Excellent place - 5 minutes from central train station and 2 minutes from Metro station, so fantastic gateway to every place. Excellent service except WiFi Internet which cost additional money, usually this service done complimentary in other hotels.

Great Hotel
Great hotel. Very good location, by central station. Excellent breakfast and staff. The room was very very clean, great clean bathroom. It's just a little small, but that is last on my list.

convenient and clean
The hotel was on a quiet street and a 5 min walk from the train station, which is why I chose it. There's a grocery store across the street for those who like self-catering. Clean and spacious bathroom and good breakfast buffet selection. I'd stay here again.
