La Residenza Eco Hotel Milan

The Hotel La Residenza is an ecohotel certified by the EcoWorldHotel environmental quality mark, located in a green and quiet area in the northern part of Milan called Affori. The subway station (M3 Affori Centro) is at only 300 mt far from the hotel and it allows to reach quickly the center (Duomo - 5 km) and the Central Station (4 km). The ecotourism philosophy is spread throughout the hotel: several solutions are adopted to reduce the impact of the facilities on the environment, such as the use of alternative energy sources, low voltage light bulbs, ecological paper and toiletries with a fully recyclable packaging. The 60 rooms (single with French-size bed, twin, double, triple and quadruple) are all equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi connection, direct telephone line, tv lcd, minibar, safe, hair dryer, radio and private bathroom with bathtub or shower. Rooms especially fitted and fully accessible for the disabled are available on the ground floor. Then, it was created the peculiar Low Impact Feng Shui Room, a double room equipped with a futon bed and a French-size sofa bed, realized following the principles of the ancient Oriental philosophy of Feng Shui. This is a low impact room with a low energy consumption, based on the search of the harmony with nature through colours, forms and natural ecofriendly materials in order to get a psychophysical rebalance of who sleeps there. Another element of distinction which represents the environmental friendliness of the Hotel La Residenza is its innovative BiologicBar, a coffee-bar with also lunch service, with food and drinks from organic and biodynamic farming. The BiologicBar is open to the public too: meeting point for the locals, it's also the ideal for a rich 100% organic aperitif in an international atmosphere. On request it's possible to organize parties and banquets. At the restaurant of this ecohotel the day starts with a delicious buffet breakfast with its sweet and savoury specialities, with some items from biological agriculture. At dinner guests can taste the typical Italian gastronomy, with some dishes from organic farming and some vegetarian food, accompanied with excellent biological wines. For soccer lovers, there is also a large screen to enjoy live matches. Among the range of services available, there is the Internet Point in the hall and the wi-fi connection, the garage (on payment and it must be reserved in advance), laundry service, the garden equipped with tables and diffused music, the sell of bus tickets, the booking of daily excursions and the private transfer service for the main airports Of course, at the Hotel La Residenza, small pets are welcome and there are available accessories like bowls and brushes. The hotel looks onto a pleasant park fit with a children's play area, which is an ideal place to go jogging, and where it is at a short distance from the gym Virgin Active, which is equipped with wellness center and swimming pool.
