Near the train station
Location is good. Very close to central station. Hotel is a bit old. Breakfast good with number of choices. Wifi was unstable and had to log on everyday with different codes. The staff at reception is not very communicable, maybe not good at English.

Very pleasant stay
The hotel is right near Milano Centrale, so it's perfect if you're looking for a place near transportation. It's about a 20 minute walk to Duomo Square, not too bad but there are also plenty of taxis or the metro if you don't feel like walking. I read that the area around Centrale is 'dangerous' or 'creepy', well maybe if you've never been to a big city before! I found the area to be fine, a few strange characters but if you have your wits about you it's just like being in any other big city. I found the area to be quite ethnic and cool, a good variety of things going on. There was also a cool market on Saturday just down the street that was well represented by all of Milano's cultures. As far as the hotel goes it was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and cozy. I usually like a gym and a business center in the hotel which is why I gave the amenities a 3. They had the basic stuff but nothing extra, but for Euro hotels that's not uncommon. Overall my experience there was fine, I'd definitely stay there again. Oh and the breakfast buffet was fantastic, lots of fruit, yogurt, pastries and some really nice ladies running around with fresh coffee and cappucino!

Short walk from hotel
If you are there on a Saturday, just down the via Scarlatti toward Corso Buenos Aires there is a market. Amazing Italian meats and cheeses to sample as well as a variety of foods from the many places Milan's immigrants stem. Great atmosphere!!

Side family getaway
Nice, clean hotel and great location. Nice atmosphere. They also have a complimentary breakfast buffet each morning. As in some reviews I saw about the hotel the showers are a little need of repair but are good for the most part.

Short walk from hotel
It was a short walk to the Central Station in Milan where you can take the train to any other location in Italy for a side trip. We had to take the train to the Malpensa airport and this was just $20 euro for two passengers. The train was nice, clean and very comfortable. They had trains going to Turin, Florence and other cities in Italy. It is also close to the metro station where you can take the train to the Duomo where shopping, restaurants and other great locations await for site seeing. For $4,50 euro you would get a 1 day pass that you can use all day to go anywhere you wanted to go. Fantastic buy and way cheaper than a taxi. Also at a 4 block walk is a location of shops, cafe's and restaurants in a variety of price ranges to suite anyone's economical needs. The hotel also offers internet service for $10 euros per day and also have multiple day packages.

One Night at the Andreola
As you can probably gather, I spent one night at this hotel. With a late check-in and a VERY early check-out, I probably spent no more than 8 hours at the Andreola- but I had a great overall experience. The check-in was smooth and the host gracious and sweet. After we dropped our bags, exhausted, we asked for a close, inexpensive, and delicious restaurant recommendation, which not only did he provide, but it delivered tenfold. (Look for my insider tip on that :D) The room was comfortable, clean, and stocked full of toiletries and PLENTY of alcohol ( a necessity for a quick night in a hotel before an overseas flight, in my opinion) - my ONLY mild gripe being the shower 'situation'. Having traveled to Italy before, I have come to expect a few mild issues with the state of their showers- in short, they are built for tinier humans than I. I am just shy of 6 feet tall and when I took one look at the shower there, I didn't even bother. It barely topped my chest. Overall impression, great value hotel a stone's throw away from the Centrale train station. Whether you are just in for a night or in Milan for a week, it is a great location without a doubt. Great service as well- when the host learnt of our early departure time and realized we would miss the complimentary breakfast, he offered to bring us up a plate of pastries/juices- on the house. A fantastic way to depart Milan.

Mamma Rosa restaurant was recommended to us by the host of the Andreola hotel- and it did not disappoint. Delicious food with 5- star service, we felt like kings sitting inside this cozy little place. It was inexpensive but fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Clean, big room by train station-- lousy internet!
Nice hotel for the price and location. Terrible internet-- had to pay per hour, then the wireless didn't work in the room and we had to sit in the lobby to use it!

Nice breakfast setting
We had a good experience in general. Problem was the internet is not included and they charge 3 Euro for 30 minutes. When we needed to get online we paid at front desk. At the time of checking out they had our internet use in their computer and wanted to charge more plus a phone call we tried to make to France that didn't go through . At the end they said it was okay, but it seems that the customer service there is not the main priority. Over all they were nice, but not very helpful.

Only real complaint is that shower
Only real complaint is that shower only had half a door. Otherwise this hotel is clean and efficient. Nearby is Milano Centrale Station, which I thought would be in Milan Central, but Milan centre is some way away, (probably more than a mile!!) although links exist via Metro. Hotel staff somewhat Po faced, especially barmen!! with no personality at all. Everyone else efficient and pleasant. Good English spoken.

We found the reception staff arrogant
We found the reception staff arrogant and unhelpful and would not have stayed here had it not been for the fact it was extrememly hot outside, we were tired from train travelling all day and we were in a city never visited before!!!! We were treated like an inconvenience!!! The cost of using the WIFI in the lobby way toooo high compared to other hotel where we stayed, during our time in Europe and in most cases it was free to its guests! The breakfast staff were indifferent and when asked by several guests to turn down the music that was piped loudly into the dining room this was refused. When we requested ice for our room this was also refused. We will be recommending that friends and family DO NOT stay here!!!
