The Hotel is Located in the historic city centre of La Spezia, a few short steps from the newly pedestrianised heart of the town, ideally placed to access the trains to the Cinque Terre in a couple of minutes. The small towns that dot this stunning coastline surrounded by vines, olive groves and old fashioned "creuze", are also easily accessible on foot.

There is also a high quality food available between 13:00 and 22:00 through Room Service with a wide variety of hot and cold meals available.
Outside: San Terenzo, was the residence of choice of the Poet Percy Bysshe Shelley his wife Mary, with it's glorious beaches and it's castle. Tellaro boasts one of the most stunning village squares in all of Italy with the enchanting Church of San Giorgio that meets the coastline, its charming gatehouse and stunning pathways and tracks that lead to the less populated beaches and breathtaking cliffs. On the opposite coast of the Gulf lies Porto Venere, so named from the latin "Portus Veneris" due to the beauty of the location, with its particular brightly coloured houses that seem yo cascade down the cliffs towards the Isola Palmaria, an area that has recently been made a protected nature reserve. Dominating all of this is the charming San Pietro Church that looks over the sea towards the Park of the Cinque Terre, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso.
Lobby: Our elegant bar, located in our luxurious Salon, is the ideal location for any kind of meeting, or even just for a relaxing cocktail. Furthermore for larger events, workshops and conferences the Hotel Firenze e Continentale offers meeting facilities for up to 30 people.

Hotel was convenient to La Spezia Centrale station (walking distance) and downtown. It made our trip to Cinque Terre so pleasant to come back to the comfortable and well-appointed and cared for room. Breakfast was generous and filled with
variety, from cereals, fruits, juices, jams, jellies, butter, breads, teas and coffee to croissants, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, sliced meats and cheeses. The hotel lobby is inviting and comfortable; staff was efficient and helpful with directions and suggestions. The price was excellent for the quality and convenience of this hotel. The room was quiet in spite of the facility being at a very busy intersection. I would recommend this to anyone traveling around the Cinque Terre area.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Get the Cinque Terre train and hike ticket at the train station and take two days to travel through the five towns, returning each night to La Spezia for a lovely hotel and dining experience. Make travel plans for late summer or early fall, but no later than November as you will then miss the boat trip that runs along the coastal towns of Cinque Terre (different perspective than the hike). Enjoy the towns for perfect food, wine and little travel mementos.
