The location of this hotel is excellent. With a 20 minute walk we could make it the the Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, and Ponte Vecchio. The hotel had problems though. The building was in poor repair: the air conditioner made noise but no cool air, the carpets were worn and dirty, and the bathroom was under 4 by 5 feet and contained a sink, toilet, bidet, and shower in very close proximity. The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed to keep shower water out of the bedroom so our conscientious 9 year old used the key in the door to lock it. Unfortunately it wouldn't unlock and hotel staff had to pry the door open. The young man at the front desk did a great job and we would have forgotten the incident if a supervisor hadn't subsequently blamed the incident on our son for using a key the hotel placed in the door! The final insult was a 30 Euro/day parking fee after the hotel clearly advertised free parking on [...]. This was our only bad experience among 7 Italian hotels on this trip.

A friendly English speaking hotel in Florence. They also make machine coffee at your request (capuccino, latter, etc) for breakfast instead of a stale "American" coffee! About 10 min walk from the train station (no point getting a taxi), and close to all tourist attractions. Good value if booking on HotelClub.

A good centrally placed small
A good centrally placed small three star hotel. While the air conditioning was noisy, the tiny lift claustrophobic and the traffic can be heard from the main road outside, we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast buffet was good (we've had much worse!) and all the major sites are within easy walking distance.

Hotel Rapallo
Florence is the best place in Italy to stay, you are centraly located and able to see the other cities in ease. The train station is only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful when asked for suggestions. I would definetly sugest checking out Za Za's restorant, the food was excellent as was the staff. The hotel has a great location, everything in Florence is within walking distance.I also recommend the outlet and Chianti tours offered by CAF travel. The only negative experiences were that if we left the sign to not disturb the room the cleaning people would enter and clean our room anyway; the "buffet breakfast" consisted only of 4 items (which were the same daily); and the free internet was only available in the lobby and not in the rooms.

Good, small hotel conveniently located
The room was small with two twin beds and a small bathroom. Everything was clean though. Front desk answered our questions and helped arrange tours and transportation. Free internet in lobby. A cold breakfast was included. This is a good hotel for the price and location.

Buen hotel relativamente cerca
Buen hotel relativamente cerca de la estación y precio razonable para una habitación de tamaño aceptable. La ducha es un agujero en el suelo con cortina dentro del baño.
